Question about Frigidaire FRS23H7CS Side by Side Refrigerator
Any advice greatly appreciated. Kenmore SxS 596.52673200; 10835442CE; 7 years old. Stopped cooling, but I have power. The lights turn off when doors are closed, there seems no problems with the seals and the problem happened sudden as opposed to gradually. The fan inside the freezer is working and I can feel slightly cool air. The coils inside the freezer are clean with no frost. The coils under the refrigerator are 95% or more clean of dust. The fan next to the compressor behind the fridge is running and the compressor appears to be running. I cannot tell if I hear the compressor due to the fan, but it is quite warm to the touch. The fridge is constantly trying to cool. I quickly pressed the freezer door light switch to try to force it into defrost mode; the fridge will turn off for only a second and then it starts trying to cool again. THANKS!! I am living out of an ice chest and I am hoping I do not have to finance another beast.
You have a refrigerant leak. Your coil in the freezer should be frosted. You're looking at 600 dollars minumum for repair.
