I BOUGHT A SAMSUNG BLUE-RAY DVD PLAYER ON MAY 23,'09 (AND A 2-YEAR SERVICE CONTRACT) ABOUT A WEEK AGO, I WAS WATCHING A DVD IN BED AND ACCIDENTLY LEANED ON THE REMOTE...IT STOPPED, AND NOW I CAN'T GET IT TO PLAY ANYTHING. IT STILL GOES "ON" AND "OFF", AND SOURCE BUTTON WILL GIVE ME "HDMI2" AND ALSO "HDMI BD PLAY" (AS WELL AS PC AND TV) BUT WHEN I HIT PLAY BUTTON I ONLY GET THE WORD "LOAD" WETHER OR NOT I HAVE A DISC IN THE PLAYER. IT ALSO OPENS AND CLOSES. THE SCREEN ONLY SHOWS A MOTTLED BLUE DESIGN BUT NO ACTUAL PICTURE. I CALLED SAMSUNG ABOUT THIS AND THEY WANT ME TO SEND THE PLAYER BACK. CAN YOU HELP ME? I DO HAVE A SERVICE CONTRACT FOR THIS PLAYER...PLEASE ADVISE...

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

The DVDs use red light, and the blue rays use blue light, 2 systems. Have you tried a cleaning disc?

Blue ray will not play dvd but will play blue ray samsung db p1500

Blue ray uses a blue laser spectrum and DVD uses the red spectrum. The blueray player must have dual capability to play both red and blue spectrum discs. If it has been and is broken, contact the manufacturer for the 1 year warranty. If it has never played DVD then most likely its not compatible.

Samsung dvd 1080-p7 will not load disks..getting error message no disc or cant read this disk..was working fine last time i used it

I've been having the same prob... bought the DVD player a bit more than a yr ago. It won't read any disc, audio or video and after loading for a while, it gives me a NODSC error. I tried using the compressed air and also chatted w/ samsung c. service, which told me to reset the device (FF for 15 sec), with nothing happening... It's been only a bit over a year and I have no warranty on the DVD player, so I can't ask for service. If I won't find a solution I will have to buy a new DVD player, but I m trying to solve this prob first. Does anyone have an idea of what to do?

Samsung Blu Ray 1500 model wont play any new discs

If you tried firmware update and it doesn't work and its less than a year from the date of purchased call Samsung customer service and claim for warranty . Panasonic has the same issue without explanation.
