Problem for Dell Dimension 8400 PC Desktop

Monitor blinks on and off.

I have a Dell Dimension 8400 with a Sceptre monitor. The monitor will start blinking on and off at the most inopportune times. The only solution I've found is to re-boot. What should I be looking for to fix this?

Try this, open your computer case and look at the monitor connector thing. Is it plugged in correctly? If not, plug it in. If it is, buy a new monitor connector, they are somewhat cheap. You can install it by yourself, all you need is a screwdriver.
