Timing is off

I have a husqvarna 235 E series chainsaw. The nut came off of the fly wheel and it lost its timing. At what point does the piston and magneto time right?

There should ba a keyway that aligns it. You MAY have sheared the key. This is a common problem.

I have a husqvarna 350 chainsaw that was running great and it just went dead and now it is popping back through the carb what is wrong with it and how do I fix the problem

If its back firing through the carb, It would point towards a timing issue, the engine is igniting the fuel/air mix before the full compression stroke, meaning that the cylinder port on the carb side isn't fully covered by the piston when ignition takes place. Check the ignition system, Plug, lead, ignition module and flywheel. The fly when has a moulded woodruff key in it, these can become worn or broken and cause the flywheel to turn out of position, advancing the timing of the spark.

Husqvarna 235 chainsaw wont run

Check fuel supply, proper plug (resistor) compression 120 to 145 lbs. If saw will not run have the ignition tested with a 3-point spark tester.

3 month old Husqvarna 235. Refuled. Won't start. Plug is firing. Primer bulb gets full. Still won't start.

These machines have had issues with main bearing cages breaking up, this it turn scores the piston and snags the ring in, if there is a good spark and the plug is getting wet i woud whip the muffler off and take a look at the piston through the exhaust port.

Not getting spark to the plug.On my Husqvarna 18 in. chain saw 235, e series.

Try a new condenser. They are very cheap and can freeze which shorts it out inside so the magneto energy is not absorbed and ready for when the points fire. It only has one wire and looks like a metal cylinder about 1/2" diameter.

Wont start got spark and fuel husqvarna 235 model #9528021-55 serial # 2010 0700375

Is the saw mechanically sound? remove the muffler and check the condition of the piston through the exhaust port, any sign of damage or scuffinf and it will need to come apart for further investigation, they are very prone to the drive side main bearing breaking up and damaging the piston.

How do you get the fly wheel off of a 1979 165cc

A model number would have been helpful.
I suggest a length of nylon rope (nothing left behind) be used as a piston stop (retain 6" ± so you can remove it). Make sure the piston is near the top of the cylinder before feeding the cord or it can fall through the exhaust port and damage the piston as it rises
Some pry them off (breaks cases, may damage points on yours), some smack the crank with a hammer (your crank), Some try holding the fly wheel and break cooling fins that effect balance. Professionals use a puller (call a local saw shop they might do it for a small compensation). HTH

Ineed to remove flywheel from 365XP Husqvarna to split crank case

The thread is RH, loosen the nut un till its just flush with the top of the crank threads, use an soft metal drift, copper, allly, brass etc.
hold the fly wheel and strike the top of the nut with the drift it will pop the fly wheel off. you may need a hand. if it wont come off use a screw driver under the fly wheel and pry it up when you strike the nut..Dont hit the nut /shaft without the soft drift...you will destroy the shaft.

the clutch thread is LH..
