It's on the back of the washer. The hoses which are connected to the water supply also connect to the water inlet valve on the other end of the hose. You'll probably have to remove a rear panel to access it where the hoses go in the back.

Slow filling

Is your water valve fully opened?? Check the water shutoff valve and ensure that it is fully opened. IF it is, then do a simple test by disconnecting the hose from the washer, and get a large bucket, and turn on. If strong flow, then you may have some sort of clogged screen inside the washer (check inside the inlet connection).

Washer fills extremely slow. Hoses are fine water

Hi, check to see if there's good water volume coming through the hoses attached to the washing machine. If there is, check to see if the screens inside the water-inlet valve are clean. (The water-inlet valve is the device on the washing machine that the fill hoses are attached to.) If they're clean, you probably have a defective water-inlet valve. If so, you should completely replace the valve.

Cold water is not filling when water temp is set to cold. When set to warm the washer will only fill with hot water. Appears that the cold is not working at all. I took the cold hose off of the washer and...

check the inlet screens inside the water mixing/inlet valve on your machine, they may be extremely clogged causing your troubles.
if they are not clogged up you need to verify whether line voltage is making it to the inlet valve allowing it to open, if present the valve is bad.
if not determine if your temperature control switch is bad, but usually its a water valve or screen..
hope this helps,
best of luck,

Cold water fill is very slow and makes strange sound

check with the plumbing work if that is fine then better take it to the dealer to change the inlet valve. attempting to change by yourself can cause other complications.

Slow to take water

Slow fill problems are usually attributed to a clogged inlet valve. If you live in an area that has hard water, or if you use well water, it is common for the inlet valve to become clogged with rust or sediment over a period time. Follow these steps:

- First, you need to make sure the fill hoses are not kinked. Many home owners push the washing machine too far against the wall in an attempt to save space and unknowingly kink the inlet hoses. Leave about a foot of space between the washer and the wall to prevent this.
- Next make sure you are getting the proper water pressure through the fill hoses by removing them from the back of the washer and placing them inside the wash tub. Turn on the water back on and see if water comes through the hoses unobstructed and forceful.
- If you have good water pressure, and the hoses are not kinked or clogged, check the inlet screens on the back of the washer (this is where the fill hoses connect). Clean them (if necessary) with cotton swabs to remove any debris. You can attempt to remove the valve and flush it with distilled vinegar too. Vinegar is often used to remove hard water deposits and can help in some situations.
- If all preliminary steps do not work, I would recommend replacing the inlet valve.

I hope you find this information helpful. If you require additional assistance, please post you make and model number along with any additional questions, so I may be able to assist you better.

Hot water is filling up washer very slow

There is a screen in the valve where the hose hooks on. It could be getting plugged up. turn off the water and pull off the hose to see if it's full of particles. I can sometimes clean it out by putting a bucket under the water inlet and spaying a little water from the hose into the opening. If not you may need a new valve.
