Officejet J3640 all-in-one no longer printing

Printer suddenly stopped working, it says that it's printing on my laptop, but it won't print, it's connected and everything i've even uninstalled it and reinstalled it numerous of times. i've made sure that it was plugged up correctly and that the printer was one i've even tried contacting the HP.com but they didn't help me at all. I don't know what to do. Please help me I need my printer for my business & I just bought. It was printing fine before but now it's not.

Hp4355 print catridge error


Each cartridge having printing life, as long as cartridge health condition is good it won't gives any trouble. Subjected series printer having mono & colour cartridges,1. Remove both cartridge from the printer 2. Switch on & wait till message appears for insert the cartridges..3. Insert mono(Black) cartridge, close the door & wait till message appears on screen. If message appears same as cartridge error mean that mono cartridge is faulty replace it, if message appears like insert another cartridge, it's confirmed that colour cartridge faulty.. Replace it..

Check if the alignment page has been printed correctly i mean the bars printed with a little yellow color around it right?

Okay what you can do is do a reset first. Follow the below things

1. When the printer is on remove the power directly from the back of the printer.
2. hold # and 9 key and connect the power
3. Printer will show you on the screen it is resetting the NVRAM then release the buttons

The printer will print alignment page again this time try to scan and it should work.

this is why hp always insists on genuine cartridges. i was going to a storefront inkjet refilling place but with the electronics inside these cartridges, once you use it up, the circuit can be fried. it sounds to me like the internal circuit is done. you may be able to return to vendor

Printer only won't print in black


My printer did that a few months ago. I tried everything to get it printing black but in the end I had to take the ink cartridge back and return a new one. Some ink cartridges dry out when they are being shipped if not stored in proper conditions.

My new Officejet J3640 All-in-One reads Cartridge Error and will not work. I've haven't been able to use it yet. I have the 21 and 22 cartridges as required, in the correct spaces.


Hi,

This might be becasue the catridges are not inserted properly. Please remove the catridge and try printing, it might give you an error. Now, insert it again and restart the printer. It would work!

Installation problem


This printer is compatible with Vista. Try stopping and restarting the Spooler service. Follow the following steps to do this:

1. Click on Start, in the Search box, type services.msc
2. Click on Services.msc in the pane
3. Locate "Print Spooler" service
4. Right Click on the service and click on "Stop" if the service is started and click on "Start" if the service is stopped.
5. If the service was started, right click on it again and this time click on "Start"

try to unplug the power cable of your printer and DO NOT press the power button just unplug the cable immediately.while the power cable is unplug press the power button for 5 secs.after that insert back the power cable..go to control panel and check if the printer has a green check mark and it syas ready..if the printer doesnt have the check mark or it says offline,right click on the printer and select USE PRINTER ONLINE...try to print again and am sure it will work.....
