Well, lets see....I have the same model.....These things make lousy vacuums and they clog very easily and that would account for the loss of suction from the head into the container. If you take the receiving container out and turn it on, does it have suction then? Maybe the filter in the receiving container is clogged. If there stll isn't any suction above the head area, then there has to be something in the tube leading up to the receiving container. A friend of mine had a similar problem with something jammed in the hose and he used high pressure from a compressor and blew the tube clear. Just a thought.

Royal carpet extractor not picking up water well

Try to follow the suction from the machine through the dirty water tank to the front floor suction piece. Make sure the dirty water tank is seated properly. Make sure there are no suction leaks any where.

DC25 no suction at head?

Hi there, it's Jack at Dyson.
I'm not sure from your question how you're testing the suction at the cleaner head. For safety reasons we'd strongly advise against placing a hand underneath the cleaner head. This is not a good way of testing suction - the soleplate needs to form a close seal with the floor surface for high pick up. It's normal for the suction to feel stronger through the wand and through the cleaner head inlet as the suction is concentrated over a much smaller area.
If you place the cleaner head on a sheet of newspaper, then run the machine with the brush bar turned off, you should see the newspaper sticks to the cleaner head, as it's able to seal with the soleplate.

Low suction

Check the tube that leads down to the brush head for clogging as well as any motor or HEPA filters. If that still shows nothing, take the cover off the brush head (like you're changing the belt) and look for obstructions in there. Usually, if you have low suction on the accessory hose, the problem is with a motor filter, HEPA filter, or a clog where the hose goes into the unit. If you have good suction on the accessory hose but none on the floor, it's usually in the brush head (clog or broken belt) Good luck

I have the bissell powertrak revolution. I have hardwood floors...even on the lowest setting it is throwing some dirt back at me instead of picking it up....

do not worry about this....it is a common issue with every brand of vacume this style....the poblem is not of power or quality..but rather one of friction or lack of resistance because of the smooth floor surface....carpet surfaces permit the brush part of the roller to FLICK the dirt back up high enough ( only millimeters) to be sucked by the continuous suction flow of the vacume...however smooth finished hardwood or tile floors allow for the heavier none dust particules on your floors to be swept accross the floor with speed...if there was a back drop on the back end of your vacume cleaner these particules would be stoped and sucked up....try taping a strip of brstle board paper with scotch tape to the back part of ur vame head and see if it makes a differnce. Put the paper at dragging floor level and tape it..then sprinkle some dried toast on the bare floor and try it....let me know if it works...

Vacuum not picking up dirt

The neck in your power head is likely clogged. Disconnect from the wand and look inside. Also check the wand.Since you have suction on the bare floor the hose is likely not blocked.
