Unfortunately the key lock cannot be deactivated without a remote, for it will defeat the purpose of key-locking. You can order a replacement remote, you need to have the exact information of your TV's model/version ( the barcode on the back of the TV starts in REVxxxx).
Sorry I could not come up with a user manual for your RP-7958 there was only one page about this remote.
But it did contain a phone and address that may have a manual for your remote..go to the following webpage, and scroll down to the bottom of the page to get there phone number and address.
Give them a call and they may be able to ship you a manual for your remote

You can buy a verified replacement remote from Remotes.com, the original is no longer available:
If you choose to buy a 'universal' remote instead, check the remote mfr.'s website to ensure that your TV is included in their code set.
you will need the hitachi remote that was designed for that paticular model. If you post the model number off the rear tag of the set I can post a link where you can order the replacement remote for your model.
Call Philips to order the replacement remote, or order online yourself by going to www.usasupport.philips.com and entering in the model number of your Surround System. Click on the Parts & Accessories link to order the remote. 1-888-PHI-LIPS
