Might have a clogged fuel filter. try to drain and replace. run fresh fuel. the pulse also could come from too much fuel causing a burst in the main heat exchanger. if this heater is older than ten years i would trash it and buy a new one so you dont blow up

100,000 btu reddy heater runs but smokes alot and you can smell raw fuel what's wrong

It sounds like the fuel is contaminated,if it is not k 1 kerosene ,or grade A diesel fuel, this could be the problem, clean the tank, and start with a k 1 kerosene, and see if it clears up,then go back to the grade A diesel fuel,if this does not work, replace the filter in the tank, and check the intake air filter, make sure it is not cloded up,or behind the filter, last thing ,only after checking and doing all of this, the pump pressure may need adjusting, but do not try this with out a pressure gauge, and a manual .You can break the pump easy.I have a manual for the ready heater, just let me no if you need it,please rate, thank yopu,> roniecon@gmail.com

Propane 100,000btu heater runs fine but has a lot of fumes, it almost burns your eyes

Go to my tip at http://www.fixya.com/support/r4124129-yearly_maintenance_reddy_heaters for all your answers. Your air fuel mixture is off. You need a new air filter and need to set the bleed air. For that you need special tools which you can get at the information I give at my tip. Let me know if you need anymore help.

Do i need to replace filter if i have been using kerosene and want to switch to diesel

No, the kerosene is number 1 fuel oil and Diesel is number 2. No.2 is a heavier fuel with more BTU's than the kerosene. After you have burned the diesel for awhile, you may want to change the filter. If you have trouble getting the diesel to burn, mix it with 25% kerosene and it will flow and go through the nozzle easier

Kerosene Portable Forced Air heater comes on, runs awhile

Here is a link to your owner's manual... http://12.153.20.74/manuals/123919-01A.PDF. Look on page 8 and 10. It could be several things. It could only be a dirty fuel filter or the pump pressure may just need adjustment. If you need a part you can contact Master Parts at 800-466-1446 or you can find them on-line at www.masterparts.net. I hope this helps!

you can run a premium diesel but it does tend to burn dirtyer than K1 kerosene.

Burning eyes, can't breathe.

These produce large amounts of carbon monoxide, so you essentially are poisoning yourself. Leave the garage door open part way when using it.
