Question about Frigidaire Dishwashers

Open Question

Hi, We have a Frigidaire dishwasher machine 1500 series with fully electronic control. It is a new unit, has been installed nearly 4 months ago. The other day, when I went to take the dishes out of it, I notice that the rubber gasket that seals the door had come off somehow. Along with it I saw, sitting on the bottom, two pieces that looked like part of the seal, but I didn't know where they came from. I put the rubber gasket back on, but now the pieces and now the dishwasher will leak when running. Does anybody know where exactly these "pieces" go? You can see a picture of them here: http://img215.imageshack.us/img215/7904/partsr.jpg Sorry, I'm not sure what their proper name is.

SOURCE: My frigidaire dishwasher leaks from the bottom

One possible solution to your problem could be as follows... Could have been little regular soap or something put in that made it suds up causing it to leak out of the front and sometimes not to drain all water out. Pouring vegetable oil into the dish washer tub will remove the suds. After running vegetable oil for about 5 minutes, pour 2 cups of vinegar in to the tub and run it on the hottest longest cycle with no dishes in it. This will clean the residue out and what ever "gunk" may be in the internal parts. Use Only powder detergent. No gel and No tabs. These 2 cause a build-up over a period of time of use and reduce the performance of your machine. This should take care of your problem. Also could have a bad door seal. Check for any tares in the gasket.

the problem is within the electronic control. Steam leaks in, due to an improper seal ring. Humidity stay in the compartment and eventually, the contact on the wire ribbon corrodes.
it can also be the new electronic module.
If the electronic module is ok, then the only working solution require that you order and install a "fit kit" from Frigidaire.

Some models even have a recall made form Frigidaire. Better check with them.

Good luck!

Hello mnwpictures - Based on the symptoms you are describing the range may either have a faulty EOC (electronic oven control) or a potential wiring failure. Try resetting the range by unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker off. Wait approximately ten minutes and then turn the unit back on. Does the control panel have a display? If the issue persists, I would recommend contacting a professional to proceed further. Most likely the EOC on the range will need replacing.

make sure your dishwasher was installed level side to side and front to back check it with a torpeto level (that`s a small level about a foot long ) if it`s not level there are leveling feet on all 4 corners screw them up or down to get level
