Sure you have a filter? On Kenmores the filter will be at the bottom of the fridge in the lower grill. If you see a round cap in the grill, then there it is. Another place is in the roof of the refrigerator compartment. If you see a plastic housing hanging from the roof then there it is. It possibly does not have a filter. It is pretty rare that a filter would be the problem though. It is probably either the water valve in the back of the refrig or a clog somewhere.

My Refrigerator has not made ice since house water was turned off for 3 hours and turned back on, how can i fix?

disconnect (or turn off) the freezer; also disconnect water supply. Keep that for a day to unfreeze water pipes inside then reconnect.

After replace new bosch ice maker still no ice

Are you getting water to the ice maker? If not then you need to check that water is coming into the back of the fridge. Loosen the water line but first turn water supply off. u can use a bucket and disconnect the water line and put it into the bucket have someone turn water back on and make sure wate is coming out with force into bucket. If it is then you may have a bad water inlet valve, these go bad from time to time. If not enough water coming into the bucket then check where water line connects to the water supply. Sometimes you have to make the whole a little bigger with a drill bit so more water will flow to the fridge. Hope this helps

Ice maker not making ice

When an ice maker is producing ice poorly--when it produces just a few cubes or none, or when the cubes are too small--it's usually because of a clogged water line or a defective water inlet valve.

First, check the water line attached to the back of the refrigerator for good water flow. To do that, first turn off the water supply valve. Then remove the water line from the back of the refrigerator. Next, place the water line into a bucket and momentarily turn the water valve back on to test the flow. If the flow is poor, you need to repair, clean, or replace the tubing or the shut-off valve that supplies the water. If the flow is good, you may have to replace the water inlet valv

Ice is not being made. How can I get the ice to start being made?

Start with the most basic. Is the right amount of flow getting to the unit? First check. On most units from the door with a water dispenser. You should get app. 8 oz. in 10 seconds. If not, remove water line from unit. Turn water back on with line in a bucket. If just a stream then supply valve is bad even if it is new. If not reconnect line and check water output from first water valve that line connects to. Just unhook line from that valve that supplies water to the water filter to see if flow is there. If so then other than kinked lines then filter or secondary valve in door. Can cycle icemaker. Press and hold button on ice maker. If water is good. Icemaker defective. Replaced many.

Ice maker does not make very much ice

Check your in line water filter if you have one. Turn water to unit off. Disconnect water line from the filter. Using a bucket or other suitable catcher, turn water back on. If you have good flow, replace filter.

Electrolux Icon ice maker stopped working.

HI. Whenever maintenance is done on the water system there is a chance that rust and other debris will break loose and move into the pipes in the house. The tube that feeds the icemaker is only 1/4 inch and easy to block. There is often an inline filter in this tube which feeds the water into the ice maker.

Begin by raising and lowering the wire arm inside of the ice bucket as this will jar the system a little bit. this alone may get the water flowing again. If not, look in your owner manual to see about the location of a filter in the ice machine supply line. If there is a filter, check it. If not you may need to disconnect the supply line where it hooks up to the refrigerator in the rear of the unit to see if the water is flowing to that point. good luck.

Water dispenser is just a trickle

the biggest culprit for slow water dispensing aside from the filter is the water supply its self. check to make sure the water line isnt kinked behind the refrig, if thats ok then disconnect the water line from the refrig and run water into a bucket and observe your water flow. good water pressure would basicly fill a 2 gallon bucket in less than a minute. much less than that can cause problems. hope that helps peyton

Check the following suggestions from repairclinic:

The ice maker has a problem The ice maker is a separate appliance within the freezer section. Please see the How things Work section of our website to learn about the normal functioning of ice makers. Some common problems with ice makers are:

The ice maker has completely stopped producing ice
The ice maker is producing ice poorly
The ice maker has completely stopped producing ice Check to see whether the ice maker has been turned off. Here's how to check. Look for a wire along the right side of the ice maker that looks a bit like a coat hanger. If this wire is in the raised position, the ice maker is turned off. On some units you simply lower the wire to the down position to turn the ice maker on. On others, you lower a small red plastic lever to lower the wire. If the wire is in the proper position check the freezer temperature, it should be between 0-8 degrees Fahranheit. If it is warmer than 10-12 degrees, the ice maker may not produce any ice. Check your door seals and thermostat, repair/replace as necessary.

There's an ice- or water-dispensing problem The ice and water-dispensing system of your refrigerator is quite complex. Many components work together to provide the ice and water. Aside from a simple problem of a leaky water tube or a jammed ice chute, most other components are not user serviceable. We suggest that you contact a qualified appliance repair technician for such repairs.
