Question about Whirlpool Refrigerators
Try this and let me know if it works, then send me the model number. Fill ice maker with tap water. Turn it on and allow to freeze and if it dumps the ice the water control valve on the back needs to be replaced. If not then I need to know what your model number is to see what type ice maker you have and options you will have for repair. Thanks, Sea Breeze

Click Here=> 4389177 Water Inlet Valve will need replaced. You mentioned the water is filling the tray OK then my focus would be on the ice maker.
