Acer bottom plastics can be a bear at times, but they will come off, they just need persuading. The screws don't come off the plastics because of a small nylon screw retainer, so have to make sure you have accounted for all the screws and that they are all backed off. Then look for the recessed area which is a pry area, use a flat hard plastic, wood tool and pry one side off and then the other.

Where is the memory slots for the Panasonic CF-T8. I know about the one on the back where it the other slot?

According to Panasonic's Toughbook CFT8
owners manual there is only one slot where
you can add extra RAM. The other memory
is "non-removable" and probably soldered
directly to the motherboard.

I double checked on the Kingston RAM Website:
Bank Schema: 1GB Standard:
[1GB] (Non-Removable)

3GB Standard:
[1GB] (Non-Removable)

2GB Standard:
[2GB] (Non-Removable)

3GB Standard:
[2GB] (Non-Removable)
Sorry to disappoint you but that is how they
made the CFT8 Toughbook.

If it is any consolation, the CFC1 and CFC2 both have
two (2) slots on the underside of the unit. Not the CFT8.

Can I remove ram from acer aspire 3003wlci to add to toshiba satellite p205d-s7454. The acer is pc-2700 and Toshiba is Pc2-5300 200 pin DDR2. Is sticking a USB 1gb readyboost the same as installling 1gb?

To answer your question, no. Those RAM types are not compatible as they are a full generation apart in terms of a RAM lifecycle.
And to answer your question about Readyboost, no. Installing a 1gb flash drive to use with readyboost isn't the same as installing an extra 1gb of internal system memory. It essentially allows Windows to use the newly added flash drive as a system cache. See more information on Readyboost here.
Thanks, and have a great day!

How do i remove the power sup ly to add extra ram on my acer aspire x3400

You shouldn't need to remove the PSU, however you will need to remove the AC adaptor/Charger and the battery.

The ram housing is usually concealed under a removable plate on the underside of the laptop.

I want to add 4GB of DDR3 memory, what further info to I need to know about the memory?

Newegg has a great site to find the correct and most compatible memory for you Here.
To maximize your ram speed, use the same speed and types of ram

For example, if you have a 1GB right now, add three more 1GB than putting in a 2GB and 1GB.
If you have a 4GB ram stick right now, add another 4GB and not 2x2GB. Also make sure the MHz on the ram is the same, (1333, 1600, 2000)

Enjoy upgrading your computer!

I have a nec GA-81915PMD Motherboard and would like to add more memory. Please can you advise me as to what is required.

You can either add to empty ram slots or replace them with new matching ram. If you add to the current, get ddr 400 or 333 depending on what's in it & the sticks can't be more than 1gb each, according to the maker. So you can put a total of 4gb in it. If you go with new, get ddr 400 in 1gb sticks up to a max of 4. To install, power the pc down, unplug it,remove the side panel, keeping yourself grounded to the case remove the ram you want to replace or add to the empty slots. Make sure the ram snaps firmly into place. Leaving the cover off, power up the pc to make sure it boots ok. It may shown a warning about the memory change, just press whatever key it says to continue. Once you verify that all is good, replace the side cover, that's it.

How to reach the inner memory slot in an acer pc

If the drive-assembly is in the way, remove the drive(s), insert the RAM, and replace the drive(s).

You may be able to loosen the side-screws (on both sides) and slide the drive "forward" (towards the front face-plate) to give you enough "clearance" to insert the RAM.

Computer will not work with extra 1gb ram

It sound like you have incompatible memory. Try taking out the original 256 and test with the 1 gig. Keep in mind some PC requires memory to be paired. If you only have one, 1gig memory chip you might need to get another. I would try removing the 256 first. The specification of the motherboard would also tell you the memory usage.
Let me know if this helps!!

You can do the installation yourself as it's pretty straight forward (all you will need is a screwdriver to remove the cover plate that covers the RAM). You can identify the RAM plate by looking on the back of your laptop. The RAM plate will have a small (and I mean, very small) picture of a RAM chip next to it. Once you've found it, you will see two screws (these may be hidden by labels or rubber pads). Simply remove the screws, remove the plate, take out the old RAM chip, and pop in the new ones. If you need to identify the type of RAM to purchase, I'd recommend either consulting your laptops documentation (or the documentation on the manufacturers website if you don't have a hard copy), or by; 1. Downloading Aida32 2. Popping along to Crucial Crucial requires ActiveX, and will automatically detect the type of RAM required for your system.
