Yup ... two items...
The fuse is in the fuse box along with all the other fuses for your radio, heater, etc.
There is also a safety cut-off switch inside the Jimmy behind the panel near the gasoline filler tube.

Hope thsi helps!

The fuel pump has a fuse, it is located in the under hood power distribution box, it just beside the fuel pump relay, believe it is marked ECM 1.

I have marked with a red arrow the location of the fuse dealing with the fuel pump. Also marked with a yellow arrow is the location of the fuel pump relay. In the other picture I have is the location of the fuel pump cut off switch which is like a circuit breaker and where you see the arrow pointing down in that picture is the reset switch which you have to push down if that has popped in order to reset it. Hope this helps you....

The fuel pump is powered by a relay and a fuse. No circuit breakers.
The relay and fuse should be in the fuse box in the engine compartment.

Underhood fuse block swap out relay #7 thats the ECM relay.
Ground Circuits Using a DVOM, touch negative voltmeter lead to a good ground. Touch positive voltmeter lead to each ground terminal. With vehicle running, voltmeter should indicate less than one volt. If reading is greater than one volt, check for open, corrosion and loose connection on ground lead. See ECM GROUND LOCATION table for ECM ground location.

Is there a breaker or fuse for the fuel pump on a 1991 Pontiac Firebird with a 3.1 leter engine? If either where is it located?

The electric fuel pump's operation on that vehicle is triggered by the powertrain control module, activated by a relay (likley located under the hood in the power distribution center, if not check the fire wall and underhood near the fenders) and protected by a fuse (the fuse is likely located in the fuse block that is under the dash, if not it will be under the hood in the power distribution center).

Location of fuel pump reset

There is no internal breaker on your fuel pump. You will want to check your fuse boxes (one under the hood, one under the dash by the driver's legs) for the fuel pump fuse. Consult your manual or the key on the boxes themselves. If none of these resources are at your disposal, then you can buy a tool at the auto parts store that allowas you to test fuses without removing them. It is inexpensive and very well worth the cost.

Hope this helps,
