Re: adding two more speakers to stereo system

That's what we call parallel connections, Yes it's possible, but will decrease the sound wattage of the amp. Having these connections is risky, you do not want to shortage the speaker output of your amp by making mistakes of wire's color coding. Other than that, it should be fine......

Hello i have an RCA rs2300 speaker system with 2 speakers. I also have a Philips iPod dock for my iphone. is there anyway that i could connect the RCA rs2300 speakers to my philips ipod dock?? Thank you...

Just the speakers? No way. No amplifiers in the iPod or the dock.

But it DPES have an Audio Line In.

Any audio device that has a headphone output (like an iPod) can be adapted to feed an RCA cable pair for standard stereo to any audio device with a standard RCA input (except one labeled "PHONO"). Get a cable like the one described here:
and connect it into any available analog input EXCEPT one labeled "Phono"

What are the correct speaker connectors for this unit RCA, Phono ,3.5 mm ?

Does it have a speaker output - I'm sure it does? More likely it's the 3.5mm. which may look like for headphones. The RCA are for low level signals so therefore it's not for the speakers. Do the speakers have two wires a piece? If they are, then there should be speaker output clips on the stereo to connect to. If they look like phono plugs then they go into the speaker output jacks.

My jvc mx-d622t shelf stereo simply stopped working. No power at all , Course I do have 6 speakers hooked up to it, just added the third pair the day before it stopped working.

Are these speakers compatible or are you just adding speakers because you have them hanging around?

If you have effectively less than 6 ohms of impedance on any channel you may run into problems and the unit may either die or protect itself by refusing to stay ON.

It's fairly obvious that if you do X and undesired Y happens you might want to UNdo X and rethink it.

How do you add more speakers to gpx under cabinet dc/tv dvd player model number kcld 888 6dt

If there are no extra speaker output jacks - then it was not meant to have extras and you really should not add any.. If you do - it would change the ohmage and it could damage the amp..

Have a nice day ;o)

Protect mode would indicate that the system is shutting down due to a fault in the output which drives the speakers. You can check the speaker wiring, are there an loose or frayed wires? Any small "whiskers" or wire touching anything? Check the wire all the way to the speaker for damage, some pets love to chew wires! Are you using the original speakers or added extra? The impedance of the speakers must be in the range shown on the back of the unit. Have you perhaps had the volume up very high? This could result in speaker damage that could also cause this error. Try disconnecting the speakers & see if the unit powers up, if it does then put the speakers back one at a time to discover the faulty one. If all this checks out OK then the output stage itself is probably faulty & that's a job for the repair shop. Please update the question & let us know if the information given was useful to you - Good Luck!
