I was playing a game and all of a sudden the ps3 froze up

the game u played may be from unauthorized cd or from internet...in that case u try to remove the disk if it a game cd or u played from internet u try formating the system and scan for spam..if u still hav problem then u can reach the help of this site

The problem beiing: You played mw2 (oranother game) with the latess update installed on your ps3 and at somepoint it froze. tried pressing the PS button but nothing happened. Youhad to hold the power button to reset it or resolve to switch the backswitch off/on. Only to get this same problem over and over again. youcan t play blu ray on your ps3 and/or get the error 80010514. from timeto time it will play those blu ray only to start the whole problemagain.

perhaps your ps3 need a firmware update...enter in sony official website and download your ps3 latest firmware...check if your ps3 hdd is ok...bad hdd´s can cause game freeze...

I wish it was just the lens. However you as many of us, will need to replace the HDD (Hard Disc Drive) of the machine. And yes Sony will do that for the $.

Try playing playstation home and sign in and then quickly press the center or middle ps button to see if the cd is there, if it is then there u go. this happend to me and i ended up not returning it for a fix!

How long do you wait before you turn off your PS3 because in most games if you hit the PS button while the game is loading something or saving to your hard drive it may seem like it froze, but give it a minute and it should go back to normal

you probably over used or you might have had to much things going at once .so you may have blown a circuit.

Try another game see if it loads, im assuming it stopped playing the game, froze, or gave some sort of error right?
