    first off make sure you are connected to the internet with an ethernet cable, if you can't don't worry about it. Go to the control panel > system > hardware > device manager > scroll down to your network adapters and select the + sign. Find the wireless adapter and right click on it. Choose to uninstall the device and click ok. If it asks you to delete the drivers too make sure you do not. Now, turn off the computer completely.....wait 45 seconds and reboot the computer. Let windows find the hardware and reinstall it. When it asks if you want windows to check windows update for the latest drivers, click yes. Once that happens wait until the adapter initializes and you can watch that happen in the task bar. Connect to your network and try to bring up the internet browser.

There is a button, some look like a satelite dish, some have other icons, look for this button and press it. sounds like you accidently turned off the wireless card. sometimes it can be a combination button that requires pressing function, alt or another key with it. If your post the model number I am sure we can tell you where to look. Thanks, hope this helps

I m not able to connect to bluetooth and wifi please help!!!!!!!!!!

Hi,

Your dell bluetooth must be turned on before able to pairing with other compatible device. Please check bluetooth switch on your laptop keyboard ( if there is you must turn it on also). Most of bluetooth devices are compatible.So please try again your bluetooth pairing .

To activate the wifi , you must covered at active wifi area / Wlan ( hotspot), then click your internet connection on right below corner ( beside battery sign) and open network and sharing center,then activate your wifi . This wifi will not work if you are outside wifi covered area.

-unable to connect to wireless -unable to open internet explorer msg states "unable to connect due to error on this site" (yahoo) -Is there a reset botton for wireless -Called my internet Co,...

Your problem may appear from a not properly enabled WLAN card.
Make sure the Wi-Fi swithc is in ON position and on your laptop keyboard try the FN+F8 combination to have displayed the wireless card status. The WLAN card has to be ENABLED to be able to connect to the Internet. The combination done will make appear on your display a window with some options available; choose that option that enables your wireless card.
Also check in your computer's DEVICE MANAGER if your WLAN card is working properly. To do so follow these simple steps:
1. START and click on SYSTEM;
2. in SYSTEM option click on DEVICE MANAGER;
3. on DEVICE MANAGER option go at NETWORK ADAPTERS and see if there your wireless card is indicated and it shows that it is working PROPERLY;
4. if an UNKNOWN DEVICE is indicated then try to find the right driver for you notebook model and WLAN card model;
5. install the driver then REBOOT and recheck in DEVICE MANAGER if your WLAN card is displayed properly this time.

Not sure if this will work for your model but its worth a try. Copied from MSI support faq website
You have to press the WLAN button located right next to the power button in order to enable/disable the Bluetooth function. Press WLAN button once, Enable WLAN. Press WLAN button twice, Enable Bluetooth. Press WLAN button thrice, Enable both WLAN and Bluetooth. Press WLAN button four times, Disable both WLAN and Bluetooth.

If this does not work, check if the driver is installed in your computer by going to the device manager. check under network adapters. If the driver is installed, uninstall the current driver and restart the computer.

If the issue still persists, you may download the driver update at the msi website: http://www.msi.com/index.php?func=nbdriver&maincat_no=135&prod_no=1474. Just make sure the driver you're downloading is compatible with yoru operating system

Can only see bluetooth. Cannot see wireless

There's a good chance your bluetooth/WLAN card has bit the dust (yes, I understand you have a laptop--some contain small cards on the inside that perform the bluetooth/WLAN duties). You can try to get it replaced, or just spend roughly $40 on a wireless USB network adapter as a temporary solution that you may just end up using from now until you decide to get another laptop.
Good Luck!

Bluetooth not working

Some more details on when and how this problem developed would be helpful in offering solutions.
When would the lan/blue tooth devices show up in hardrives list?
They are usually in the task bar or network connections.
If so open the network connections from either the task bar- which in your case may not be possible as it sounds that you can not see any lan/wlan icons there- or from start- control panel -network connections and see if there are any lan/wlan/1394 etc listed there but disabled. enable them and try. You will need to usually check the properties box of each to show up on task bar and or if connectivity is present or not. You could also check your computer properties, device manager and see if any devices especially network adapters or other devices listed with yellow warnings and fix them individually.
Hope this helps
