Question about Denon AVR-95 Receiver

1 Answer

Standby flashing avr has been my control4 whole house for awhile. just went out. if i power on, the screen begins to show everything firing up, but then the screen goes blank and the standby just flashes. the manual says that it is overheating? i had it unplugged and off overnight with the same results this morning. tried power on while holding direct and stereo buttons but that also did not work.

Thats the protection circuit kicking in, overheating is rarely the problem, check your speaker wires for shorts. If it does that with nothing connected you have a bad amp board :(

I have a Denon avr 2801. My standby light is flashing and i cant seem to reset it. I have tried pressing the a and b buttons together and then turning the power on, all the lights flash but thats it.

Hello
There is always a constant 5v for the device to go to standby.and power on when you press the power button .
This flashing is not to reset the device it shows that there is a problem with power supply.
the regulators are burned or over voltage ...
it needs service .
hope this helps
good luck

No power output or display.green standby light flashes.

Sounds like either a blown mainpower fuse or the thermal fuse for the power transformer. If the protect circuit was kicking in, the display would light up, but then turn off with a red blinking light. the green light with no display means the transformer is not getting power.

Control 4 system

I think you double posted, so I will just mimic my other answer

If i understand you right, you are playing your CD from your computer. If this is correct, you should burn your cd's into MP3 format with windows media center. Then let you Control 4 system get your music through your network.(you will need to call your Control4 dealer to setup this.) You should use a network hard drive to save you music to. but it can be done with only your computer. If you use your computer you need to make sure that your computer stays on, so turn off the screen saver and your power standby and hibernate options.

I hope this helps. If you live in Utah, I work for a control 4 dealer in Draper. If you have any more questions, e-mail me at joe.4home@gmail.com you could also visit a end user control4 site at http://www.c4forums.com/
