The screen on my laptop is not tight enough. When I open my laptop, the screen will only go so far before it falls all the way back. Is there a way to fix this problem?

The hinges on these presarios attach in different ways. On some there are two screws, one on each side that screws up through the bottom and into the bottom portion of the hinge. Then, the other screws are under the power trim piece. In some cases this can just be pried off carefully, but on other models, there are a series of screws inder the battery and that needs to be removed first. Write back with an exact model number and I can pull up a guide for you., The other screws that will need to be tightened are the ones behind the bezel of the LCD.

Why doesn't the pressure foot fall correctly

Open up the side cover, put a couple drops of oil where you see the spring covered shaft against the back of the machine. Move your level up and down until it begins to move freely. Use sewing machine oil only. 3-in-1 creates a sticky residue that will gum up your machine.

M4400 screen install

You will have to remove the plastic strip that is around the lcd screen. Normally there are little bumpers on the plastic strip that you have to remove because they hide screws under them. Remove the bumpers, remove the screws, they gently pry the plastic strip off.

The screen itself is secured on brackets by screws, so just remove the screws from the sides of the lcd screen that secures it to the bracket. Afterwards you can bring the lcd forward as if you are closing it and the screen will fall into your hand. You don't want the screen to fall all the way out too far because there is a cable in the back of it that you will have to remove. On some models you might have to remove the screws from the brackets at the four corners to get the screen out.

Replace with lcd screen with one that is designed for your laptop, otherwise you'll be sorry.

Compaq presario cq42 lcd replacement

Remove the bumpers that are on the plastic strip that goes around the lcd screen. Then remove the screws that were under the bumpers and pry the plastic strip off. Remove the screws from the sides of the brackets that hold the lcd screen. There might be screws that the four corners that hold the screen, but most times if you remove the ones on the side, then tilt the lcd screen forward it will fall out into your hand. Make sure you catch it and don't let it fall out too far because there will be a cable attached to the back of the lcd that you don't want to damage.

When Coasting chain rolls backwards and falls off

Chains usually fall off because the chain is not tight enough. With the bike sitting upside down on the seat and handle bars the nuts on the rear axle should be loosened and the axle moved rearward so the chain tightens. When it is tight the nuts can be tightened. In addition to having a tight chain the rear axle nuts adjust the alignment of the wheel to the frame. You know you have it right if both the chain is tight and the tire closest to the crank is centered in the frame. The nuts should be tight enough so they don't allow the axle to move when you ride it. I hope this helps.

From what you wrote, more than likely the lcd cable is loose / damaged. Take the lcd casing apart, check the back of the lcd to make sure the cable is nice and secure, do the same with the other end that connects to the motherboard, test the lcd out BEFORE you put everything back together to determine where the problem is ;)

Screen Opening

There are clips that are holding it into place. Take a flathead screwdriver and put it in an area where the front bezel meets the back bezel. Twist the screwdriver around and it should loosen some of the clips, do this in a few places and then enough of the front bezel will be loose to where you can remove the front bezel to the screen.

Once you do that you can remove the screws from the left hand side and the right hand side. Then remove the cable from the back of the LCD and remove the plug from the inverter on the bottom of the screen.

You can now put the new screen in.

Lint screen falls out in dry cycle

Bend the three clips on the filter housing our just a bit each and they will keep enough pressure to retain the unit in place. Keep bending a tad more until the unit is also a bit hard to push into place. Not too far.

Carpet power head will not stay attached to telescoping wand

to answer your last statement, if you do not have a receipt, the warranty will go by the date ofyour serial number. the first 4 digits are the month and year. this model usually has a 1 year wty. the wand button may not be protruding as far due to dirt under the metal band. however you may still have an issue with the neck on the powerhead which will require shop service.
