Question about Zenith Televison & Video
Black vertical lines on your P42W34?
Apply pressure between the silver metal board and the orange ribbon cable on the bottom portion of the TV where the black lines occur.
(If soution 1 doesnt work)
Just reheat and add soder to fuse connected behing the driver boards.
It's an easy fix usaully takes a hour. Over time the connection from the soder on the driver board dries and seperate or loses value due to heat transference. Remove the back locate the driver boards they are rectangle like shaped alumiun slats that run across the bottom of the plasma. Underneath the slats you'll see four square like fuses with the number 100 imprinted. Purchase a sodering iron at Sear for $15 add a touch of soder to the ends of the fuse to re-establish the connection. Repeat process for all driver boards, make sure the unit is unplugged before you proceed. If it's fried replacing it is not a problem just resoder the new fuse to both ends to establish the rely.
