Is the freezer cold enough? Should be close to 10 degrees.
Is there water or ice in the ice mold? If not put water in it and see if it dumps the ice after it’s frozen. If there is ice, lift the cut off arm and let it drop to see if it will start.
If it does dump the ice but don’t refill with water.

Try swapping the wires on the dual water inlet valve. Then try the water dispenser. The water should go to the ice maker. This will tell you weather or not the ice maker valve is working and if the line is clear.
The water inlet valve on the back of unit opens when the ice maker needs water. If the valve doesn't seal good because of sediment or wear it will continue to drip and when the water reaches the ice maker supply tube it will freeze. You can take the water line off the valve and watch to see if it drips.

No icemaker but makes a noise like when water is drawn to make ice

If the icemaker is still in the freezer, be sure it is turned off (usually OFF is the metal feeler arm locked in the 'up' position) because the unit will still call for water even if the water line is not hooked up...

Water & ice in bottom of freezer

Most likely cause is a blocked defrost drain line. The freezer has a defrost cycle which turns on a heating element below the evaporator to clear any built up frost or ice. This defrosted water should then drain through a plastic line to below the unit. Check for drained water in the drip pan or plastic moulded container over the compressor. If it is completely dry then follow the blocked drain line, clear it. If further assistance is required please provide details of What brand and Model your unit is? Hope this helps.

Just hooked up a new water line for the ice maker how do i know if it is working?

if you take a jumper wire like an extension cord without the female side and hook two connectors on the end it becomes a powered jumper if you take this powered jumper and touch the power to the side of the water valve it will bring water up through the line when it activates the valve the other way of doing this is if your icemaker was the manual kind where u can remove the front cover and i think its the L pin on the icemaker would make the icemaker send the signal to the valve in which water would also travel up the line in this video that is shown this is the type of icemaker with the l pin if you have any further questions please message me back and please remember to rank how this opinion has helped in your appliance situation when our chat is concluded Thanks again

the water soliniod maybe clogged with calcium. if you get it loose you can take the plastic hose loos from the icemaker side of the water valve see if it is dripping or running out of there. if alot is coming out maybe getting voltage too long from the icemaker. it will be one or the other.

There is no water flowing to my ice maker but i do have water for drinking flowing

Check back behind the icemaker there is a plastic tube make sure is is not froze up...Observe the back of fridge there is a water line that goes from the water valve to the tube near the top check that it is attached and in good condition... There are 2 more things to check, the water valve, as the icemaker side may not be functioning... The next would be the ice-maker unit may have failed and not be powering the water valve as needed... If you can hook up a test cord to the valve and it works replace the icemaker unit... If the valve does not work replace the valve.
If I can help with anything else please let me know.

My icemaker went on the blink, found water all over kitchen floor now it will not make ice but the freezer functions great. Model number ED2FHAXB04

Sometimes the water inlet are of an ice maker for no reason will freeze up preventing water from reaching the tray and making a mess. What will happen is the ice maker fill tube on the back of the cabinet also freezes up. As a result the icemaker tries to cycle pressure then builds up in the plastic feed line to the fill tube. This pressure build up in a very "low pressure" plastic line causes that plastic line to push itself out of the press to fit connections (fittings) at the back of the unit or under the unit. Hence the next cycle it just ports water to the now open line causing water to go to the floor instead of the icemaker.

You can locate the source of the leak by simply following the plastic fill tube and re-insert it into the fitting. You still need to find the ice build up that caused the initial leak and melt that ice buildup with a hair dryer or a fan until it is clear. Once you clear the ice blockage (near the rear of the icemaker) it should work normally again.

I have an older Frigidare and would like to hook up the icemaker. In the back bottom left side I THINK is where I would insert my water line but the line is so much smaller then the blue plug area. does...

The water supply line is a small 1/4" tubing (soft copper or milky-white plastic) and uses a compression fitting. That is normal. You can go to most any hardware store and get a kit for connecting the icemaker. The kit has the tubing with fittings, and a piercing saddle valve you install on a COLD water line to supply cold water to the unit. If plumbing is not your strong point, please seek help. Although it is pretty straight forward, it can be a little tricky.

How to hook up water line from sink to icemaker.

You have to put a T between the cold water valve and the faucet, then run a plastic or copper line to the refrigerator(the size could vary from 1/4' to 3/8", you have to look at the water valve in the bottom back of the refrigerator).

Neither dispensor or icemaker works after replacing water lines

Try using an hairdryer or defrosting the unit completely , this often get rid of blockage caused by frozen lines fixing the problem.

The water lines can also be unblocked from dirt using a thin flexible shaft. This after defrosting.

If all that does not fix the problem, then you may need to replace the water valve, the icemaker solenoid, or the whole icemaker assembly.
