Family Tree Maker has a Mac version of their software available on their website. This link also provides some possible solutions for your situation for converting PC version to Mac.
If you have any reason to not switch to the Mac version of Family Tree Maker, or have other PC software that may not not be available for Mac, there is an easy solution for this as well, but does require purchasing a copy of Windows. You can install Windows as a second operating system on your Mac to support those applications not compatible with Mac. This can be done using the built in "Bootcamp" utility on your Mac. This allows you to boot to any version of Windows or Linux, as well as your Mac OS. Another method is to install "Parallels" for Mac, which also allows you to install multiple operatings systems, but with the added ability to Mac OS X and Windows simultaneously.
