I have the memory card in my camera but some of the pictures I took last night are not showing up. They aren't deleted because I just looked at them earlier this morning.

That doesnt mean that they have not been deleted after you looked at them this morning.

Remove the card and use a card reader to access the card to see ALL of the pictures currently on the card. This is like having a second opinion, both can't be wrong. The other aspect is that some pics are in memory and not on the SD card

If your photos are stored on the memory card, then removethe memory card from the camera and insert it into an USB memory card reader.Connect this USB memory card reader and memory card into the USB port of yourworking computer. Your computer will see this as an USB Mass Storage Device oran external storage device; you can then open the folder on the memory card andcopy the photos to your computer.Memory card reader is a handy device and is inexpensive. They are being saved to the internal memory of the camera. With no card in the camera, go into the menu and find "format" and follow the instructions to erase the internal memory. Insert your card and it should now work properly.

I hope you didn't format the card because that erases the pics forever. You could get a separate card reader and try to download them that way. You could take the card to a store like Walmart and plug the card into one of their picture making machines. When your pics show up, you can print them or even make a cd of them.

This is a special problem and I would direct you to contact fujifilmusa.com directly about this problem with the memory card.

I'm not sure how to retrieve all of the photos that are missing that you took beyond the 60 photos that showed up.

Did you format the card in the camera before you tried to use it? Also, go into the menu and scroll to "reset" and follow the on-screen instructions.

Unable to access all photos in play mode

If they are being saved to the memory card they should all be together. Was the memory card in at time you took the picture?
If it wasn't then this means it is saved to the internal memory.

Connect you camera to your computer and see if they show up there.
If this does not work take it back to the store you brought it from and ask for techniqucal support.
Good luck

You problem set your camera to use internal memory only. Set the memory function to memory card only and all pictures will go to the memory card until it is full. You can probably still transfer your pic files from internal memory to your card.

Fuji Finepix XD card was being used last night

When you recieve a "Card Error" or "Card Not Initialized" message, this indicates that your memory may be temporarily corrupted. This can be due to not formatting your memory card on a consistent basis. Most consumers will use the "delete all" feature and continue to take pictures. By doing this, the file format of the card may become unstable.

We recommend formatting your memory card in your camera after saving the images from your previous shooting session. Once a memory card is formatted, the images will not be recoverable.
