I don't have this machine, but mechanical items with moving parts need to be oiled. I would check in your users manual. It should give you a schematic on the places to oil. Use sewing machine oil so it doesn't get all gummy and cause more problems.
Yes, but not excessively or all that often. To lubricate it where it needs it, the main bearings and other internal rotating and sliding parts requires removal of the rear and front covers. Leave that to a sewing machine repair person (doesn't have to be a Viking dealer - they often subcontract that kind of work to these guys anyway).
Umm. Husqvarna makes both sewing machines and chain saws (good ones). But this needs to be posted in a category other than sewing machines. I would suggest "Home & Garden/Patio & Garden" as the most likely one I could find for you. Good luck.
Typically does not need oiling but if you do, use Tri-Flow oil available from most bicycle shops. But it would highly recommend you take it for service at an authorized Husqvarna Viking service technician.

They occasionally need oiling. You should have received a tube of oil when the machine was purchased. If you don't have any, try to find Tri Flow oil available at bicycle shops or Amazon.com. If you are unable to find it, you can use machine oil but not 3n1 oil. These are excellent machines and I still have mine. It may be well worth having it serviced at an authorized husqvarna viking dealer.
