Can't reset Panasonic KX-TG6700 phone

I momentarily unplugged my base unit and when I plugged it back in, all the lights are on and there is no dial tone. Unit was working fine for about 6 months. Phone line is good. Tried unplugging it and plugging it back in, like the manual says. No success. Phone is dead and lights remain on.

Re: Can't reset Panasonic KX-TG6700 phone

I had the same problem and solved it.
Leave the base unplugged for a day or so to empty the inbuilt battery. Everything should work fine after that. I actually connected it to a UPS because we had frequent power cuts and the problem never happened to me again.

Re: Can't reset Panasonic KX-TG6700 phone

Do you have a warranty with this phone? Have you tried a different battery pack? Have you let the phone charge for 12 hours before trying it?

Did you try disonnecting the unit from the power for a few hours?

Fixing the handset link to base unit of Panasonic KX-TG4500

After the base unit died I was able to restore power by switching out the power adapter of one of the handsets with the one on the base unit. However, when the power was restored to the base, none of the handsets that previously worked were getting a dial tone. I could only use the phone from the base unit. To fix the handsets I first reset the base unit by pressing the reset button with the tip of a pen on the bottom of the base phone then momentarily removed and reinstall the battery on each of the handsets to allow each to reset individually. In doing so, I got the dial tone back on all previously linked handsets without having to reregister them.

How can i set up speed dial?

Registration Register the handset to a KX-TG6700/KXTG6702 base unit. 1 Base unit: Press and hold {INTERCOM} until the IN USE indicator flashes. L After the IN USE indicator starts flashing, the rest of the procedure must be completed within 1 minute. 2 Handset: Press {OK}, then wait until a beep sounds.

Cordless phone does not work

ok i found a solution...

for good measure, unplug everything from the main base, wait a few minutes, then plug everything back in. this never solves the problem, but it's standard troubleshooting procedure.

next, follow the menu instructions on the non-working handset to re-register.

if the re-registration doesn't work, your handset is probably shot. you can buy a reconditioned one on ebay for under $30. take the battery out to find the model #.

KX-TG6700 Freeze

Remove the base by taking out the five screws. Look for the ribbon cable on the left hand side. On each side of the cable is a little brown nub, pull away from the circuit board to release the tension. Pull the ribbon cable out, this will reset the circuit board. Put the ribbon cable back in and push the nubs towards the circuit board. This will add tension to the connection. Put the base back together using the 5 screws. Plug in your phone and you should be set.

I have the same problem and I simply open the base (5 screws at the back), disconnect the cable that came from the keypad located (if you see the station from the back) at the left, turn on the base without connecting this cable. After that, I unpluged the station, reconnect the keypad cable and connect it again. Solved.
