Question about Hotpoint Aquarius WD640 Front Load Washer/Dryer
I have a hotpoint wd64 front load washer-dryer. Does anyone know if it has a cleanable filter and if so where is it? I think something is stuck in it as it makes a loud grating noise when it spins. Thanks
If your hotpoint has no obvious filter its likely to be the type that has the filter built into the main exit hose from the drum to the pump. Clearing these is not as easy.Pull machine out and unplug it, on the rear there is a panel at the bottom which when removed you will see the pump where the exit hose attaches. From the pump to the drum is normally a wider black pipe and this contains the filter. removal of the pipe from the bottom of the drum is normally a jubilie clip but some have plastic clips that are easy to break. once you have dropped the pipe from the drum ( water goes everywhere ) you can then remove the white filter assembly which is like a shuttle **** with ping pong ball in it. clean out fully and make sure its all back together as before.
