Seems as if Samsung
could be facing the prospect of recalling a number of models form their
plasma TV range, as the company have been inundated with complaints
from angry customers who claim that their plasmas have just stopped working.
The TV’s which are only in Korea are models, SPD-42S5HD,
SPD-42S5HDM, SPD-42P5HD, and SPD-42P5HDM, the problem seems to be a
terminal fault which turns the screen black after just one year.

Consumer group, Consumer Korea have now asked that Samsung
Electronics recall this plasma TVs, as this is not down to the customer
to put right. Samsung are still refusing to recall the models, but at
the moment are willing to offer free repairs to the owners.
