I have the Samsung V4600 DVD VHS combo player

I have power when I put in a DVD or VHS in but I just get blue screen . I took top cover off the player and can see the DVD's are playing but no sound or image also when machine is powered up I do not get the Samsung logo. I called Samsung tech. support and they had me reboot by unplugging machine also holding in on reverse & fast forward for a few seconds it did not work. They basically told me cost to repair was greater than buying a new one. The machine is not that old and is in great shape I had it apart and it look's to me that most parts can be easily replaced. I appreciate any advice. Thanks Ray
