Although I severely doubt the mouse will give you an electrical shock I would suggest a new one as they are cheaper than a repair would be.

Ativa wired mouse was unplugged and when we plugged it back in, it will no longer control our arrow. I tried unplugging and replugging to the laptop but still no arrow. The red light is on, at first it was blinking but no longer. Any help would be appreciated.

Mouse not working during first boot , if I reboot the system then it is working fine. this means that during cold booting mouse is not working

it may be just due to loose connection of ur mouse wire. better remove the RAM and remove the dust by just rubbing wit eraser and reset it. and aso Check whether your mouse wire is connected properly. Even then the problem is not solved, better give for service

I need a wiring diagram for a Targus PAUMO1

Not worth it!
One wrong wire could burn out multiple USB ports on your computer (or any computer the device is plugged into).
It would be best to get a new or used mouse.

The mouse keeps becoming unresponsive and turning off at random

What type of mouse is it? Wireless or wired USB mouse?

If it's wireless, replace the battery with new one or you may try connecting the USB wireless adapter (that came with the mouse) into another USB ports of the computer.

If it's a wired mouse, try connecting it into another USB ports of the computer. Or you may use it with another computer just to isolate the problem. If you would get the same problem even after connecting it into another computer, then I could say that the mouse needs repair.

Hope this helps!

Tote n Go laptop, mouse click not recognized

It is very likely one of the wires came loose inside the mouse itself. There are 4 black foot pads on the bottom of the mouse. With the batteries removed, pry off the four feet and remove those four screws. You will see two tiny brown wires that correspond to the mouse button.
Examine these two smaller brown wires and ensure they are not loose or have become disconnected from the small computer chip inside. The two smaller brown wires are on the interior of the chip and should be soldered to the board, opposite a larger brown wire and a larger white wire. The two larger wires, brown and white go back into the main cable that connects inside the laptop.
If these four wires appear to be intact, the next step would be to remove the two larger screws in the central blue piece with two larger holes on either side. This will release the mouse from the base. Examine the two solder points where the two brown wires are connected for any breaks. If these look good, there are two more screws that hold this chip in place. remove them and examine the button of the mouse.
Many others have found the actual push button under the mouse fails. This blog entry explains how he fixed the mouse button: fangletronics.blogspot.com

Jumping mouse cursor

I think some where in the cable there is a broken wire, it is inside the cable, cause there is a certain position that it work properly. You can also test it by tyring other mouse if the problem still the same.
