Question about Casio EXILIM ZOOM EX-Z70 Digital Camera

Open Question

Had the same problem with the battery of the Casio Z77

I just called the 1-800 number and the representative was so helpful and nice. He said that they have found this problem with the lithium batteries and will be sending one out free of charge. I asked him what to do if it does this again in the future and he said just call back again for another free replacement battery!!! Now that is customer service!!

I have the Casio Exilim EX-Z77 and i just bought a usb cable to charge it on my computer but, for some reason its not doing nothing... nothin is blinking at all... any help?

The EX-Z77 is not a battery charger. It does not charge via the USB port. You need to remove the battery from the camera and put it into the supplied battery charger.

If you need a manual, you can download one at
http://support.casio.com/pdf/001/EXZ77_e.pdf
The battery charging instructions begin on page 36.

The light on the battery charger of my casio ex-z77 light is flashing. The battery is not charging and I have checked the connection of cables and have switched outlets

from another thread, posted by theslug. This worked great for my camera.

"Hi,I just found a soultion on another website and it appears to have worked for me.Apparently the battery loses it memory when fully discharged,to fix this take a 9v battery and place the terminals + to + and - to - with the camera battery for 30 seconds or so then put the battery back in the camera and charge as normal.I just did this and it seems to be charging and the red light is solid.hope this helps."
