Have you installed the webcam, can you select it in skype settings?

Go to the skype settings and open the video, select the webcam and you should see its picture if it is installed.

if its not installed whats the brand and model and does it work with any other programs?

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

When I am skyping I can see the other person and when I click my video it wont turn on so they cannot see me.

So you have to configure your web cam before use it on skype.
Go to skype option and try it there also, if wont work go to camera software and there configure it.

My logitech webcam wont work with skype. it works

You can try to configure it.
But first I would recommend you to download the latest version of skype.
Link is :(www.skype.com/download/)
While configuring be sure to use the following setting:
1.Start skype.
2.In the navigation pane of the Skype Options window, click Video Settings.
3.Adjust quality of picture in 'Settings
4.Check the correct webcam is shown as default
Click Save
Test your webcam by making a Skype test call.
If you need further help you can log onto:

ok

All works fine one month ago !

And i can't view my friends who are online.
If some one contact me i see him online.

Somebody know how to solve the problem ?

thanks[/quote]

delete config.xml

Do not just install "over" the old version
quite often some files are not updated correct and get corrupt.

You can find Config.xml at:

Open Windows explorer select "show hidden files" in folder options

Paste or type %AppData%Skype in Windows or IE address bar.

Once you have found your Skype folder open your Skype username folder and look for the config.xml file.

delete config.xml any changes manually edited in this config.xml will be lost

exit Skype first

This config.xml will be rebuilt without any data loss, but hopefully error free, with next start of Skype.
Once you login again Skype will rebuild you config.xml file and download all you contacts.

Voip 080 wont work with my updated skype

close the voip philips application from the task bar. Then do the same for skype. Now Start Skype again followed by the voip software. If that doesnt work uninstall both software and reinstall installing the voip 080 first, then upgrading the skype. You may still receive a warning at first but it will work
