Do you have the manual for the DVD player? Sometimes the key is not in creating the DVD but what formats the DVD player will accept. If you don't have the manual, reply with the model and someone can research it

In order to "finalize" a DVD for use in a DVD player you will need to use a software program on your computer. Look to see if the "burning" software you used has an option to finalize the disk.

If not, one popular program is Nero...
They have a free version which may suit your needs...

Dvd do not record

The unit is saying that its an "Un-format disc" problem. Is this the only error code you are getting? Also, what types of DVDs are being used? As in, DVD-R DVD-RW DVD+R DVD-RW and what speeds? 1x 2x 4x 8x 16x?

Play Back

Some DVD players can't read -R & -RW disks. When you finalize make sure it is in Video mode not VR mode so the recorded disk will be able to work in most other DVD players. Also some DVD players only read recorded disks rated up to 1x, 4x, 8x, 16x, or a combination of these speeds.

i think your problem is that your lens( laser lens) that reads the disk is dirty. Try this get q-tip and put just little rubbing alcohol and clean the lens.

Incorrect Disk Format Error Message

first of all, the DVD player is your input device, and that's where you should be posting. The TV is passive, it just displays an error message from the DVD, that can't read that specific Disk. Does it happen with every DVD, or with some? is there anything common with the DVDs that won't play? burnt? certain zone? A dirty lense can often cause problems like this. Opening the player and brushing dust off the lens is the only thing you can do yourself. Otherwise take it to the lab. Good luck
