Are electronic devices failing more today than in the past, and why? I have experienced several failures with relatively new electronic devices from PCs to TVs in the past couple of months. These should have lasted for years before failure. Are RoHS processes / materials contributing to this?
Simple answer due to the nature of these more comlex devices. The true nature of an electronic device is a series of switches that determine the action said device will take. I do not think that the materials used have anything to do with it.
