Have you got the latest version of iTunes installed or a version that supports your version of iTunes, also you could try doing a Restore on your iPod will erase everything on it.

You could also try the iPod on a different computer and see if it was your computer just being the problem.

I purchased an I pod touch.I have all my songs ready to go to put on my I pod,but I do not know where the other cord goes in the back of the computer and My name (Ipod user)does not show up.Probably...

It's just an USB cable, that connects in any USB connector on your pc - you probably have one on the front. To put music in it all you have to do is to plug it in, wait for it to be detected, open My Computer and it will be there - just paste the music files in it.

I dont know how to load up any songs,or videos on my ipod a1136

If you want to install songs on your i pod, Get an i Tune media player it enables your system (laptop or computer) to be able to transfer any data from your system to your i pod.

First install your i Tune media player.

connect your cable to your i pod before connecting to your system.

Open your i Tunes player, and synchronize(like pairing your device with your system) it with your i pod so that you can be able to transfer any data from your system to your i pod.

I think that will do..

My computer usb ports are not recognizing my i pod or any other device.it wont accept a new drier.

Some usb ports on the front side of the computer may not function properly. So try to plug the device on back side usb ports. If no success, then check the bios setting to enable USB ports.
