Question about Canon MultiPASS MP730 All-In-One InkJet Printer

Printing I have a MultiPass MP730. I recently replaced the black cartridge. Now it is not zeroxing correctly. Every third line on the page is not printing correctly. It is very light and streaky. The other lines are readable but not perfect either. If I am zeroxing a colored page, and press Color, the print comes out pretty good. There are some streaks and the black is not very dark, but is is acceptable. If I am zeroxing a page with black ink, and press the B&W button, I get a streaky page. If I press the Color button on the same page, then it prints with no streaks. The color black seems a bit off, but it is a pretty good page. Printing a page from the computer, get a pretty good page, so it is mostly when I zerox pages and have it on B&W that I am having the most problems.

If your problem is printer setup page in go
and select to the b & w print and ink setting
are dark print set and give your print page
problem is also

Align the print cartridge once more, from printer properties and print a test page. See if still that problem persist.

How do I fix Vertical lines on print out. I do not have solid colour when I print in colour instead I have lines. I have cleaned the print head, tried to align print head numerous times and replaced black...


Open "properties", on the bottom you will see "printing preferences". Try changing the print quality to "high" or adjust the color intensity manually- there are 2 options, "auto" and "manual". Check the "manual" and adjust it.

I have a Canon multipass mp730. what order do the ink cartriges go in ? starting from the black?


Keeping an order when installing printer cartridges is not necessary.

You can even replace just one cartridge and this would make no difference.

To replace all cartridge you usually start from the right side one and keep following, as it is easier to extract cartridges.

Follow the whole procedure from manual below, under maintainance>>Ink replacement.

Printer not printing


i'm here in the office & the printing is blurred on certain lines. when i xerox, it does the same. do i need 2 clean something? pls help. i just changed the ink cartridge.

Problem with Canon MP730


hi, i was having the exact same problem with my printer. and i also tried reinstalling the driver. after reading your post i decided to see if the printing problem occurred when i used the other colors, and it looks like it's only a problem with the black ink. i printed out a sheet with the text in red and another in blue and they came out perfectly. but the black grid that surrounded the blue text, still looked problematic.

so... that means that the black ink is the problem. i haven't tried putting in a new cartridge. did you say that your problem occurred after you put in a new black cartridge, or did you try putting in a new black cartridge and you still had the same problem?

MP730 prints all colors EXCEPT Black


I had the same problem. After replacing the Cyan and Black the Black would not print. I deep cleaned the cartridges about 8 times, interchanging cleaning and printing test pages. Eventually the cartridges began working properly again. I know this is not much help, but it has worked for me.

Print quality is poor


if you replace the black ink cart with an original one then it's the print head
Solution: Cleaning the Print Head - C555 / C560 / C635 / C530 / C545

Untitled Document Follow this procedure to clean the BJ cartridge print head:
1. Press c755funckey.gif 2. Press c755cleankey.gif 3. Use c755down.gif or c755up.gif to select the [HEAD CLEANING]..
4. Press c755set.gif.
The MultiPASS cleans the print head.
