Setting/sound/volume/ 4 sliders, set these to max.

Ensure your Sim card is inserted correctly and you have network coverage.

Enable WiFi. Enable mobile data(network charges will apply).

Download Samsung push service from the app store ...should already be installed.

If all fails. Backup your phone on a computer or cloud service and restore factory settings (last resort) ensure all your contacts are saved to your Sim card.

Contacts/settings/import/export to Sim/all.

Settings/backup / Restore factory settings.

My orange phone is not working in south africa

Your mobile is locked with network provider. So whenever you insert a sim, your mobile displays the message like "Invalid SIM" .After unlocking you can use it any network in your mobile. This unlocking can be done through codes. I found a free unlocking service at Unlocking4free.com .If your mobile model is listed here, you can unlock your mobile easily.

Nokia C5 power off, hangs frequently, no sound sometimes

These problems usually occur in most Symbian based phones due to malware attacks. The only practical solution is to restore and clean up your phone memory as soon as possible. Please follow the instructions below to clean up your phone memory.

1.Before cleaning your phone memory backup your Contacts to your memory card or SIM card (You can mark and copy contacts to SIM card directory ).
2.Enter *#7370# on your phone
3.You will be asked to restore the factory settings.Press YES.
4.Phone will restart with the default factory settings and the unwanted files and other malwares will be deleted from your phone memory automatically. You can change the default settings of your phone accordingly.
5.Restore the contacts from your memory card or SIM card.

Hope you are satisfied with my solution. Thanks for choosing Fixya.

I bought a Samsung E250 in the Uk and when I insert my South African sim card in it says that the network is locked.

Hi,

Yes. The cellphone in UK is only meant for Certain Service Providers. In Order to Use it for South African SIM, you need ti Unlock the Code. There would be a Couple of Options :-

1. Contact the Original Service Provider and Ask them the Unlock Code.

Comment - They might not Offer as this phone would be under Contract. Why would they allow some other Provider to use it on their Network's SIM.

2. There are Certain websites that Keeps a Track of all these Details. These would Offer you Unlock Codes.

Comment - Not 100% Guaranteed.

3.Use Hardware or Re-flashing.

Comment - This could be done by only Few people who have the Firmware available,

Try one Trick, if that would work :-

1. Insert unaccepted sim to phone.

2. Input *2767*3855# and phone will reboot and will be temporarily unlocked.

3. Input *7465625*638*00000000*00000000#

4. Input #7465625*638*00000000#

5. Input *#7465625# to check the locks.

Out of these, you could try 2nd Option. The list of Websites ( Again i have no Comments on these Sites ) i came across are :-

http://www.mobileunlocked.com/Samsung/E250
http://www.instant-unlock.co.uk

Let me know,if needed further assistance.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

I bought a cell phone in the Philippines to bring to the US. When we tested the phone with three different SIM cards, it worked. Even with my AT&T SIM card, it worked. But now, in the US we try to...

Does it read your US simcard?
it is most probably a network setting. "No Service" means it cannot pick up a signal , check your network setting so that they are in american signal frequancy . Not shure what yor frequancy is because im South African.
