Question about Washing Machines

1 Answer

I have a loud clunking noise after my maytag empties the water, it seems to be getting worse. The model is a centennial top loader. IT is getting to be annoying. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks

Check the springs or straps that are connected to the wash tub. They keep the tub centered in the machine; if one is broken loose the tub will bang against the sides of the machine.

My washer started making a loud noise and won't drain or spin.

What brand of washer? Does it have a drive belt? If it doesn't have a drive belt. If it sounds like the motor is running, it has a coupler between the motor and the transmission. Very inexpensive and easy to change.

Loud clunking, banging sound during the spin/drain cycle.

the make , model and year are missing but if it is a top loader unit , it indicates that the tub suspension bar motion absorbers have broken and need replacing

HI,WHEN MY WASHING MACHINE SPINS IT IS SO LOUD AND MAKES A CLUNKING NOISE.WHEN EMPTY AND I SPIN THE DRUM IT FEELS LOOSE.CAN YOU HELP WITH THIS PLEASE. THANKYOU.

Yes
Either one of your springs have broken at the top of drum.
Or the dampers under the drum have failed.
Possibly both.
You can get to your top springs by removing lid.
Dampers access is via the underside.
Remember to disconnect power and water before opening up machine.
