Question about Compaq Presario Notebook
You must be sure that the wireless service is turned on. This can be a button on the front of the computer or in the area of the keyboard with a wireless symbol on it. Check your documentation for it's location.
Once that is working, then you need to set up a connection to your wireless access point or router. To do that you just go to Control Panel, open the wireless "wizard" and follow the steps as they come up.
You will need information about your wireless network to make that connnection. You will need to know the router's SSID or name of the network and any security code in WEP or WPA settings to allow your wireless to make the connection.
Find this information before beginning the network wizard. Once connected you should be able to access the Internet. If you want access to other computers you will need to do some additional work.
