Question about Mantis Tiller

Mantis tiller wont start. Turns over but will not stay on. Had it repaired at local lawn mower/power tools shop. Carburator adjusted. Worked for an hour. One month later, same problem.

See if it is leaking fuel, could be cracked fuel lines or a plugged fuel filter.

Im just getting out my mantis and im having some problems. I have checked the tines and they are free of weeds and dibris. When I give the machine gas it acts as if it is binding up and does not...

The carburetor is having some issues. I would go to a repair shop and see if they can adjust it for you. On certain carburetors it requires a special tool to adjust it. I believe that the Mantis Tiller has an echo engine on it. If you cannot find a local dealer for your Mantis then I would try for an Echo dealer.
I hope this helps. :)

I have a briggs and startton lawn mower and the

under the pull cord housing is this little arm that pulls out when you pull the cord. Thus, the little arm locks into place on the pulley and turns the flywheel which turns the motor over. The arm inside may need to be greased and worked a bit. Sometimes the springs do fall off

It was working fine last year, and I only use it annually to dethatch and aerate my lawn, and very little tilling. I purchased every part available for it, though. This year, I noticed that my son had left...

Take off the air cleaner and spray carburator cleaner into the carburator. If this doesn't get it going, you'll have to take the bowl off the carburator and clean the insides too.

Mantis tiller won't run at high rpm

check the carburator, it sounds like a main jet is clogged or the carburator is dirty. Is the air filter clogged? Is the motor under strain?

check the fuek lines for hole and leaks, check the fuel filter and clean if necessary. remove the carbuerator and inspect the gasket; it should be soft and flexible, if it seems hard or brittle replace it. clean the carb with carb cleaner sray (available at any local auto parts store) and compressed air. make sure you get inside the small fuel rail holes. check the primer bulb for pin holes and seating/sealed properly. if that doesn't work have the carb repaired at a service center or replaced.
