Question about Dell Inspiron 1501 Notebook
Laptop successfully browses on local unsecured hotspots, but when i RJ-45 into my comcast modem get squat. My desktop gets excellent connection on the same line. I R CONFUSED
Try plugging it in and then reboot the router and/or laptop. it needs to set itself up with a local ip address.
Does your modem have more than 1 ethernet port? if not you might need a router.
