Question about Microwave Ovens
It's nothing to do with the lights themselves. It's a known problem with the lightboard on this model. Our motherboard has been replaced three times and our lightboard twice. It's not sealed properly and lets moisture up into the unit, frying the boards

It sounds like the control PCB uses a solid state relay to switch the bulbs on/off. These sometimes short out and won't switch off..
They need to be checked with an ohm meter before replacing at component level or replacing control PCB.
