Speed up Printing for MS DOS applications.

There is a registry setting

\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
\SYSTEM
\CurrentControlSet
\Control
\WOW
\LPT_timeout

which defines how many seconds after the LPT port has been used that
Windows NT waits before grabbing the port, closing it, and flushing the
output. This value could be needed for adjusting the timeout when
printing from MS-DOS-based applications .

The default value is 15 seconds. Change this to a lower value.

Sato cl408e - printing over perforations. I tried turning the Pitch(all the way to the right) and Offset(all the way to the left), and this helped a little, but still not right. Because of this, when the...

Reset printer sensor threshold setting.

Turn on printer whilst holding down line key untill printer beeps.

Use feed key to step to Gap in display.
Load label plus backing under sensor and not volts reading.
remove labels and place backing only under sensor and note volts reading.
use following formula
High reading + Low reading / 0.5 = Value to use
e.g 2.8 + 1.4 / 0.5 = 2.1.

use result to change value of input using line key once set press feed key to set.

To change label start position use the pitch menu.

HP Officejet Pro 8000. Spooling? Printing badly.

Check the following link which will be help for finding out the solution
dentify the specific printing problem

To change the priority of the Spooler service, open the RegEdit32 application and change the value of the PriorityClass of type REG_DWORD in the following key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\ Control\Print

Set that value to the priority class required. A value of 0, or no value entered, is substituted with the default value of a background process of 7 for Windows NT Workstation. (For Windows NT Server background processes, take a value of 9.)

My epson printer delays while printing job is sent to it.

Apart form changing the Advance Settings from the Printer Properties (i.e. Print directly to the Printer) we can change the Priority of the Print Spooler to make the Printer working fast from the Computer.

The “Priority” of a task is the degree of urgency that the task presents to the Processor- Request from a task with higher Priority are served earlier.
Now the default setting for Print Spooler is to run at Normal Priority. Now if the Customer mostly use his Printer for printing form Computer, we can make the Print Job faster by change the Priority.

Here is the Solution Below:

1. Open up the Registry Editor

2. Navigate to :
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/ System/ CurrentControlSet/ Control/ Print

3. Right Click on the Print folder and create a new DWORD value called “SpoolerPriority” and set it according to what value you want or if it exists, just
set the value.

The value are as follows:
OxFFFFFFFF for IDLE Priority
0 for Normal Priority
1 for High Priority

Slow printing as if memory is full. Prints a little at a time, takes 4min for one page. Restarted and reset defaults.

C84 not printing

I assume that before the old cartridges ran out of ink, everything was printing normally. If so, the usual reason for this problem after a cartridge change is getting air into the print head system. Did you do a proper cartridge replace process, which finished with an ink charging cycle? Have you tried running 2 or three head cleaning cycles? If not do it, then run a nozzle check. Any sign of ink - yes - then things are OK you've just got to get the ink flowing properly. Run a couple more cleaning cycles then leave it to rest for 24 hours to let the air bubbles disperse. Then try again.

If you get no sign of ink after these processes report back.
