Question about ViewSonic VA1912wb 19" LCD Monitor

1 Answer

Viewsonic Va912b monitor

My viewsonic va912b monitor flashes the display and sound on then off for awhile and most of the time never turns on anymore. The green power light indicator at the front comes on when the display shows up and off as the display disappear. The light flashes faster most of the time that the display won't show up or can't catch up. Is this power supply problem? Thank you, ****

Va912b monitor - when booting up, monitor only displays for 2 seconds - need to turn monitor on/off until I can enter the Vista password - display doesn't work until I can begin typing after desktop boots...

I will assume that you already try this monitor with other PC already, if that the case, you will need to open it up and inspect the capacitors in the power supply, look for caps with bulging top, see pictures here:
Post back what you see inside so we can guide you further.

My monitor(Viewsonic VA912b) flashes on and then goes to a black screen. Anyone know what is causing this?

Could be a few things.

It could be the resolution settings.
It could be that your monitor isn't connecting to your computer. In this case you would have to get a card for the monitor to plug into.
It also could be that it's not supported by the OS.

ViewSonic VA912b monitor fading out during boot

It is probably the power supply, or the inverters.

Similar problem with solution, though it requires you to know something about electronics.*va912*
