Hello,
It sounds like the leak is coming from the water intake hose.
The water intake house is located at the bottom sump of the dishwasher. To get to it the dishwasher has to be taken out and put on its back and the floor plan needs to come off. The intake hose runs from the inlet valve under your sink and attaches to the sump with a metal keeper. Overtime the part of the hose where the keeper is cracks (Normal wear and tear). As I recall the intake hose runs approx. $129.99 from Miele direct. It comes with an inlet valve on the hose. there is no separate or substitute hose you can use.

Good luck

Clean gasket with clorox to remove any funk, and apply vasoline to gasket to improve seal. If you still have water leaking, you will need to replace the seal on the dishwasher. Should be able to order from an appliance parts dealer, or they may provide a univeral gasket that would fit your machine.

Hi - if i rember correctly on the sides front top panel is a plastic bung, pop this off and you would see the screws inside - oly problem is most of the later Mieles have torqx screws - anyway if you succeed the gently lift front & push backwards - the top will come off.

But the best ways is to empty the washer of water pull it away from the cabinets disconnect everything.

Lie the silly thing on its back on the bottom will be 4 screws normally this will drop the bottom panels & makes it easier for you to work on the machine.

According to the parts manual this would have a waterproof inlet valve system - typical design for Mieles.

JUST BE CAREFUL - Mieles are excellent machines, try not to damage other components - perhaps the leaks is coming from some other - Miele parts are as costly as the purchase prices.

Hope to see how you get on...

I ahve an error code 2 coming up with my Whirlpoos ADP 6000Wh dishwasher?

A couple of sites I know seem to agree. They say:

F2 error fault code
This is a water leak, which has operated the float device by dumping water into the base of the appliance. The anti flood float device switches off the incoming water valve and operates the drain pump until the Water Indicater (pressure switch or Turbidity sensor) indicates the sump empty.

  • Water is in the bottom tray
  • Floater or float switch switches off the water valve and the electronic switches on the drain pump until pressure sensor reports that it is empty. There are numerous causes for this fault, but it all usually comes down to the fact that something, somewhere is leaking. To cure this you need to find the leak.

Miele G646 dishwasher keeps trying to pump out

Had a similar problem with an 846, but with the inlet outlet lamp flashing. the bottom tray had filled with watedr froma dodgy seal. I switched off and disconnected the electricity. Removed the bottom front cover below the door (2 screws behind the pretty kickboard which also had to come off). The bottom of the machien was a big puddle. I dried this out with paper twowel, put the machine back together and it ran fine. I am going to replace the pump seals now as the machine seems otherwise OK.

    Good luck with yours. rupertvdpP

Water leaking from under the machine (Miele G638 Plus) dishwasher

The salt tank is a pathetic piece of ****. The plastic cracks and leaks into the bottom tray, which in turn sets off the safety switch.
Follow the attaching hoses and bypass the salt tank unless you really need it. This will save you around $250 for a salt tank and $300 labour for callout and repair.

Check the bottom tray of the unit. If water is there and the float switch is activated the drain will run and nothing else. Get rid of the water so the float switch goes off and you should be back in business. If it happens again you may have a leak somewhere and should get it looked at.

    Miele Dishwasher Problem

This just happened to me (my hands are still dripping from cleaning out the water at the bottom of the tub). Frustrated because I had cleaned the filters, bailed out the water with a cup, yet the light was still flashing. I finally followed the troubleshooting guide in the operating manual and held down the start/stop button for 5 seconds, while the machine was on, which seemed to reset everything. Works fine now.

Miele G646SC Plus dishwasher Drainage / inlet warning light

I had the same problem a few days ago. I followed the instructions to clean the filter and check to see that the impeller was free to rotate in both directions. The problem persisted. After reading this thread, and a similar one on another site, I tried what mikeboerma suggested in "solution #3", and bingo, problem solved. The magic combination is to push and hold the on/off button and the start/stop button.

    Dishwasher not working

Hi Frazzledmum, Miele have a safety float switch in the bottom of the machine. (The float is a polystyrene disc). If the machine leaks for any reason, then the water sits in the bottom tray raises the float switch & all your dishwasher will do is activate the drain pump and flash those red lights at you. The reason is that somewhere under the machine there is a leak that needs to be investigated & repaired so in this instance I'm affraid that you will have to call a serviceman. Kind regards
