    Hi xptareq2000,
    Thanks for your prompt reply.
I checked the user guide and I contacted our local dealer and they don't have any idea about the problem.
    let me explain more please:
when I play a movie from the USB port and display the arabic subtitle the letters are intermittent
for example if I have the word "تليفزيون" it displayed "ت ل ي ف ز ي و ن" the letters are not attached to each others like it should be, I tried all types of subtitles(srt, sub, saa, txt,...) but no luck, please note that it worked fine with me on my pc(same movie with the same subtitle file)
Thanks in advance for your support.

I realy don't understand why it's not working, I tried every solution possible
the thing is when I set the menu language to "Arabic" the words in the menu is correctly and has no problem but in the subtitle it still seperated, the arabic language has the letters like this for example "television" but it shows to me "t e l e v i s i o n" so it's impossible to read, I changes the file type to unicode and all the options but still the same

I tried both, switch the language to english or arabic or automatic and still have the same problem.

I tried all the subtitles format, and nothing changed, the only thing that worked is the embeded subtitles

This subtitle file the of creator's own. This doesn't make problem for your work. You can also use your own language as subtitle vedio creator file then show in your desktop.

You can use this program (AVIAddXSubs) for AVI files only: http://www.calcitapp.com/AVIAddXSubs.php it will add the subtitle to a movie as a Picture, and do no effect to the movie quality or size, and can make it in less than 1 minit for 700MB Movie, work fine with all TV, and PS3. But it cannot work with MKV Files if any body know any solution for MKV please Help us. Regards,,, Eng. Emad Ehliel.

I need to update the software of my LG DV532how can i acieve that?

You dont need to update your software of your dvd,you just need to make sure your dvd usb supports arabic or just do this, Search your movie in google with SUBTITLE ex.Superman subtitle, then if you found your language download it, usually it is a .zip file when you download it ex Superman subtitle.zip you will need to extract that using winrar or any extract tool, after extracting the file should end with .srt ex. superman subtitle.srt, if it is, make a folder in your usb then copy the movie and subtitle in it (make sure the movies name and subtitle name are the same ex. superman.mp4 and superman.srt) then play it.

When i open a movie with vlc and i add greek subtitles, instead of greek the subtitles are like arabic or chinese, something like that.why?

VLC needs to have the language pack to show the greek letters, but I think this feature isn't built in yet. you need to use another programm, try it with winamp or some other application.

If you already name the subtitle file (.srt) with the same name of movie file (avi, mpeg, mkv etc) all you have to do is press green button on the remote control the turn on/off the subtitle. It works for me.

Hi, how to enable subtitles for DivX movies from USB on LG 42LE5500? I connect USB, TV recognizes folder where DivX .avi file is but within same folder it does not "see" .srt subtitle. Also, in settings...

It seems that subtitle file must have exactly same name as movie file. For example: Movie file: Mission impossible.avi Subtitle file: Mission impossible.srt or Mission impossible.sub or Movie file: Mission_impossible.avi Subtitle file: Mission_impossible.srt

Hello, I'm trying to display Arabic srt subtitles ...

If you have Arabic lang. in your windows, and you have the movie (.avi) and the subtitle (.srt) in the same folder with exactly the same name for both 2 files, and you use VLC as media player .. then:

1-Download (Subtitle Edit 2.9.3) software .. it's free!.
2-after setup .. open the subtitle (.srt file ) and adjust "defult file encoding" (same window-left side) to: UNICODE
4- Save (from file tab).
5- You can also adjust the time (later or earlier).

In case you have any questions, my e-mail:

Enjoy..Regards
