SOURCE: wiring diagram for Rheem rpka-31 jaz heatpump

TURN THE POWER OFF TO THE UNIT. TAKE THE BACK PANEL OF OF THE HEAT PUMP AND LOOK FOR A SQUARE PLASTIC BAG FASTENED TO THE INSIDE OF THE UNIT, IT MAY BE LOCATED BY THE CONTACTS AND SYSTEM WIRING OR ON THE PANEL ITSELF. REMOVE THE PAPER FROM THE PLASTIC AND THIS SHOULD CONTAIN YOUR WIRING DIAGRAM. ALSO LOOK ON THE BACK OF THE PANEL ITSELF FOR THE DIAGRAM. SOMETIMES THE DIGRAM IS PRINTED THERE.

How to program CLS Q 31 D TIMER

CLS Q 31 D timer is ordinary 50-60 Hz 24-hour din-rail analog timer; rated 15 amp, operating voltage 230v with power reserve and 30 minute time increments.
15 amp safe max is 12 amp x 230V = 2760 watts. Use line fuse to protect timer from overload. Use contactor for heavy-amp loads and 3-phase loads.

Help with 12v Frontier timer

This is Intermatic PB series timer module adapted for various applications, often low-voltage AC and DC loads. Copy following links for specific wiring diagrams:
http://waterheatertimer.org/How-to-install-under-counter-water-heater.html#fm
http://waterheatertimer.org/Intermatic-timers-and-manuals.html#PB1
http://waterheatertimer.org/How-to-wire-TB118-TB178-timer.html#fm
Timer can be wired for numerous applications.
Power is connected to terminals 1 and 2, jumper wire is connected from terminal 1 to terminal 3.
Load wires connect to either terminal 4-5, and to terminal 2.
For loads greater than amp rating, use timer to control contactor. Add line fuse to protect timer from overampping.

How do I connect my Jandy AE-TI heat pump to my intermatic T104P3

1) Copy following link for wiring illustration ... assuming timer is supposed to control pool pump:
http://waterheatertimer.org/images/T104-to-contactor.jpg

2) T104P is 240Volt (208-277V) SPDT timer in P plastic outdoor enclosure.
http://waterheatertimer.org/How-to-wire-T104-Intermatic-timer.html#T104

3) Jandy AE-TI is 208/230V pool heater.
http://www.bestbuypoolsupply.com/media/aemanual.pdf

4) Page 13 of Jandy manual shows single-phase residential wiring diagram.

5) First of all, power to main contactor is not interruped by timer, since this powers 24Volt transformer that controls the chip board and general operation.

6) The timer is connected to 'Auto-heat contactor.'
The confusion is what Load connects to this contactor? The water pump? Load is shown on diagram as 'pump time clock.'
I assume the load is the PUMP??

We have a 1EGD1 dayton timer delay relay what is the wiring diagram

Open following link to identify timer:
http://www.grainger.com/Grainger/wwg/search.shtml?searchQuery=1EGD1&op=search&Ntt=1EGD1&N=0&sst=subset

This is typical 8 pin delay timer relay.
The wiring diagram appears on side of the timer.
Open following link for example how to wire 8-pin timer.
http://waterheatertimer.org/images/Connect-relay-to-timer.jpg

Example shows 24Volt, but 120Volt wires exactly the same.
The timer is 120Volts. So connect power to terminals 2 and 7.
Other terminals are dry, and receive no power when 120V is connected to 2 and 7.
In the example wiring, the objective is to have power connected to Load at all times except when timer activates. So power is connected to terminal 1 and Load wire is connected to terminal 6.
If the objective was to have power connected to Load only when timer turns ON, then connect power to terminal 1 and connect Load wire to terminal 3.

Wiring diagram sunsmart. I am replaceing a timer swithch of a differnt brand. I have a single pole installation, but the power enters the fixture and then comes to the switch. The diagram in the box...

Sounds like you have the GE sunsmart timer, and are wiring the timer for single-pole.
Following information does not apply to 3-way timer wiring.
Add a comment if you have different timer.

Start with previous timer:
The previous timer was connected to two wires: Hot wire and Load wire.
Hot wire carries power from circuit breaker.
Load wire connects to fan, light, or motor.

How to wire Sunsmart:
1) Only one wire in the electrical box is Hot. That wire is usually black. Connect black Hot wire to timer-black wire.
2) Load wire connects to timer-blue wire.
3) Timer-red wire is capped off for single-pole wiring.
4) Timer-green wire connects to bare copper wire.
5) Timer-white wire connects to Neutral wire. This will power the timer electronics. The previous timer probably had a battery to power timer electronics. Neutral wires are white wires that are twisted together and covered with wire nut and pushed to back of box.
6) If box does not have Neutral wires, then connect timer-white wire to bare copper ground wire until neutral wire can be run from any nearby outlet box.
7) Try the timer, and if timer does not work, then reverse timer-blue and timer-black.

Installing a 7 day digital wall timer

Swylite LST100 timer has 4 wires. Red, Blue, Black, White
Timer has more wires than wall switch because timer has electric clock inside. And with + series Swylite timer, it also has led bulb that needs power.

Timer can replace ordinary on-off switch
-On-off switch has 2 screws, so 2 wires (plus ground wire) connect to on-off switch
-Three of the four timer wires are used when replacing on-off switch
-Red wire is not used, it is capped off

Timer can replace 3-way switch
-Three way switch has 3 screws, so 3 wires (plus ground wire) connect to 3-way switch
-One of the screws on 3-way switch is colored dark (it is crucial to identify the wire that comes off dark screw so timer can be wired correctly)

Lets replace on-off switch see diagram
Timer black goes to Hot wire
Timer blue goes to Load (light, fan, motor)
Timer white goes to Neutral
Timer red is capped off.

How to check which wire is Hot, Neutral and Load
Switch you are replacing has 2 wires > one is Hot, the other goes to Load
Remove these two wires. Separate wires so you can test. Turn on power. Tape tester leads to wood sticks so hands are away from power. Test each wire to bare copper wire.
When tester lights up >> that is Hot wire >> please connect this wire to Timer black wire
The other wire goes to Load >> please connect this wire to Timer blue wire.
Now test for Neutral. Test Hot wire to other wires inside box. Neutral should be white. When tester lights up, that is Neutral. Please connect Timer white wire to neutral. IF YOU DO NOT have a neutral, you can connect Timer white to bare ground wire until you have time to drop a Neutral into the box.

Replace a 3-way switch see diagram
Three-way switch has 3 wires.
Identify which wire connects to Dark screw on switch >> and then please connect this wire to Timer Black wire.
Timer white wire connects to Neutral
Timer blue and red wires connect to other two wires that came off switch ... they connect to either one.

Clock doesn't work

The wiring diagram for that timer is somewhat misleading. The 120 volt clock timer motor is connected internally to the "A" (neutral) terminal and the #3 terminal. The "A" (neutral) terminal is to the immediate left of the #1 terminal.
Here's how to do the wiring for your use, (assuming a 120 volt supply circuit and a 120 volt lighting or other load):
Connect the incoming power (line) black wire to terminal # 3. Connect the incoming (neutral) white wire to terminal "A".
Connect the outgoing (load) black wire to terminal # 4.
Connect the outgoing (neutral) white wire to terminal "A".
