Question about Insignia Bluetooth Wireless Headphones with USB Bluetooth Adapter

My NS-BTSTHD is charged, but now won't turn on. I noticed what appears to be a reset button on the bottom of the right earcup; 90 degrees below the charging port. Will this help in any way?

I read on another thread about resetting it. I tried both methods, the volume control and the play/pause button. There was a delay, I thought it was done for, but the light started flashing and it started working. I still don't know which one did the trick but try both.

  1. Verify that screen rotation lock is off. If you see this symbol in the status bar, rotation lock is on: lock_rotate.png Follow the steps below to turn off screen rotation lock.
    • Swipe up along the bottom of the screen to display Control Center (you can do this from any screen, including the Lock screen).

To test screen rotation, open the Calculator app that comes with your device. If the screen does not rotate as expected while using the calculator app, continue troubleshooting.
  3. If the issue persists, restart your iOS device.
  4. If the screen remains locked, back up and restore your device.

Phones get a peersing screach; itgets louder when you press the side where the on/off switch is

The design of these headphones includes a microphone on the outside and on the inside of each earcup. The outside microphone detects outside noise. The inside microphone monitors what you are hearing and when it detects that the outside noise is present inside, the active noise-canceling circuits remove that noise. This happens fast enough that you perceive a significant reduction in the outside noise getting to your ears.

The airspace inside the earcup is a tuned chamber defined by the foam in the ear cushion. This is important because with the inside microphone in close proximity, but at a 90-degree angle to the speaker, the circuit must be designed to eliminate the normal feedback that occurs. When you press the earcup close to your ear, you are changing the size and shape of the air chamber inside of the earcup thus directing more of the speaker sound toward the microphone than the design can compensate for causing audio feedback to occur. You are hearing that feedback. Removing your hand from the earcup should restore the shape of the air chamber allowing the circuits to return to normal operation.

If the feedback occurs too easily when you are NOT pressing on the earcup, then the foam may have weakened/deteriorated and it may be time to replace the ear cushion.

On my QC-3 headphones, I can cause the feedback squeal in both earcups, with the left earcup being more sensitive to the shape change than the right.

If the foam in the ear cushion has weakened/deteriorated to the point that it no longer has it's original shape, (in particular the lower half of the ear cushion), the size and shape of the air chamber inside of the earcup is directing more of the speaker sound toward the microphone than the design can compensate for causing audio feedback to occur. You are hearing that feedback.

On my QC-3 headphones, I can cause the feedback squeal in both earcups, with the left earcup being more sensitive to the shape change than the right.

It is probably time to replace the ear cushions. If so, they are available from Bose for $35/pair.

My Goodman unit won't cool below 78 degrees inside during this heatwave. The thermostat says

your home may not be insulated well enough or you could have leaking duct or your system may not be charged correctly ac systems are not sized to cool below 76 degrees above 90 degrees outdoors because this will increase your utility bills during the cooler temperatures. thank your governement and all the regulations we have to follow for this. they would rather you save money than be comfortable. and we are actually in violation of state law and federal law if we install a unit that will cool below 76 degrees on 90 degree outdoor temp

Hello, I just got a Bose QC3 on eBay. It works fine except the cable which is not the original one but a one from T'nB and the left earpiece has a very annoying whistling noise when I press it or even...

i would buy a new ear cup.and a new battery. and perhaps a new cord.
i had a problem w/ my ear cups and i noticed that when i bought the new ear cups the sound was better.
i also read that if the battery got alot of usage (4 plus year) then the whistling noise comes from that. i'm starting to have the same problem. i have had my headphones for a long time. i think like anything else that operates on batteries its time to change it.

I turn on my tom tom go 700 and the screen appears with a picture of the tom tom in a green box and then it stops and i wont turn of

If your TomTom GO/ONE/RIDER is frozen, won’t turn on or does not behave as it should, it can be fixed by resetting or restarting your TomTom device.
A reset will not delete any data from your device, with the exception of SMS messages on TomTom GO500/700.
  1. Connect your GO/ONE/RIDER to the power charger. If you have a power charger, use it to power your TomTom GO/ONE/RIDER. If you do not have a power charger, make sure that the battery in your TomTom GO/ONE is fully charged.
Note: You need to charge your GO/ONE for at least 2 hours using the 12-24V cigarette lighter adapter.
  2. Reset your GO/ONE/RIDER. To reset the unit, you simply have to push a straightened paper clip (or something similar) into the RESET hole on the device.
    • On TomTom GO 910/710/510, the RESET hole is located on the bottom of the device.
      tomtomgox10.jpg
    • On TomTom GO 700/500/300, the RESET hole is located on the bottom of the device with the word RESET right next to it.
      tomtomgox00.jpg
    • On TomTom ONE, the RESET hole is located on the bottom of the device, with the word RESET right next to it (just below the SD card slot).
      tomtomone.jpg
    • On TomTom RIDER, the RESET hole is on the bottom of the device, behind the SD card door. When opening the SD card door you will see the RESET hole on the left, right underneath the SD card slot.
      tomtomrider.jpg
  3. Your TomTom GO/ONE/RIDER is now reset. Finally, press and hold the power button for 2 seconds.

Feedback sound like wind noise in right headphone of QC3, starts quietly and gradually gains in strength. Sometimes disappears, then comes back again. No sign of moisture in battery compartment. Any ideas?

The inside microphone monitors what you are hearing and when it detects that the outside noise is present inside, the active noise-canceling circuits remove that noise. This is important because with the inside microphone in close proximity, but at a 90-degree angle to the speaker, the circuit must be designed to eliminate the normal feedback that occurs. When the foam has weakened or deteriorated to the point that the size and shape of the chamber cannot be maintained, more of the speaker sound is directed toward the microphone than the design can compensate for causing audio feedback to occur. This also happens when the lower half of the ear cushion is compressed. Since this is occuring during normal use,
it may be time to replace the ear cushions. They are available from Bose for $35 per pair.
