Question about Canon PIXMA MP160 All-In-One InkJet Printer

Canon MP145 Blur Printing

When I print the picture from the computer, it came out blur or I sould say very light color.
To confirm is not the ink nor the printer problem, I use the direct scan and print function, the color button on the printer panel. The print out is clear and color is good too.
I tried on Vista and XP, both have the same problem. I tried reinstalled the printer driver using the Canon CD and cannot solve the problem too.
One important information is that, last time I able to print everything ok, even from the computer too.
Anyone can help?

I use plan paper, if the print quality is set to "Standard" the color is correct but blur. If the print quality is set to "High", the print out is darker (not as good as direct scan to print) and worst still, color is wrong, it looks like yellow is fade away and caused the other mixed color very wire.

BTW why print with "standard" option, I can see line on any plain color printing, say like printing a plain big green square, I always see darker green lines in between.

But if I use "High" option, the line is missing but the color is no good.

Maybe u should check the printing setting/preferences, maybe it is set to general or normal... im not that familiar with the canon scanner.. i have an hp printer which is a scanner too, when i print pictures direct or from pc, i always check the settings before printing like setting to best resolution, setting to photo printing etc...

i did encounter this problem once before.. when i use plain paper for printing pictures, i set it on photo printing then normal quality and its okay.. but when i use photo paper , once what i dd is i changed the paper setting like photopaer matte, glossy (forgot whats the option called), then used high quality it came out very dark and its so dark i cant see the picture....

maybe u can try a different setting instead like select plain paper then standard then choose photo printing instead of generav everyday... hmmmm

when u print pictures btw, where do u print it from like, the canon program so so or do u use adobe or paint or whatever????

Sporatically, my pictures come out all "runny". The colors are pinkish and they "run". It looks like what happens if a printed piece of paper from an ink jet printer gets wet and the colors all blur...

Canon PIXMA MP460 when printing 4x6 cards, the picture began to have green streaks across it. The next one got worse and the third one was one big greenish yellow blur. I am not hooked up to a computer....

I talked to canon support. The ink supply issue only functions when
the unit is connected to a computer. They told me how to solve the other issues.

I do not need any further contact from you at this point.

Print result at 1st line ok..2nd line become blur..its alternate till end of printing

Replace the ink cartridge.
The cartridge is so wide that it can print 2 lines at a time, and the upper part of it is probably partially clogged. That's why every 2'nd line is blurred, and the rest is ok.
