Question about Televison & Video
Hi We have just bought a 40" lcd tv, and we are looking for a mounting solution. However we are in an old rental property with lath plater walls and are concerned that the plaster will crack. We would like to mount the tv onto an old brick chimney breast. The brick is now covererd by lath plaster as well, with the brick underneith. We're just wondering what's the best way to do this without cracking the plaster. The tv ways approx 40 pounds.
Otherwise we also considered creating/buying some kind of freestanding mount that could sit on the chimney mantle. However the mantle is only 16 centremetres deep. (out from the chimney breast) I haven't been able to find anything with a small enough base that would be able to sit on the mantle and hold the tv up. Any assistance would be much appreciated.
