the same thing happened to me! i noticed there wasnt any sound, then tried to pull out the detachable cable, but the plastic part attached to the ear piece came out with it! first if i shoved it back in, i could still get sound. then the entire thing fell off.
does anyone know how to open up the ear piece part so i can try to reattach it?
Did you find a way to fix your headphones? This same problem happened to me and I'm searching everywhere for replacement parts. I'm hoping to just find a single earbud for sale instead of trying to mess with the wires inside.

Same thing happened to mine, left earphone same problem. Cant speak to anyone at ue then told to contact logitech in turn they sent me to handheld audio in the uk. They wont honour my warrenty as i dont have a receipt? i registered them on line when i bought them but apparently that dosnt mean anything. So i asked them to repair them at my cost but was told they couldnt re solder them? I cant understand why? im going to try myself unless anyone has any ideas? this is the second pair ive had now.

Hiya, a client of mine has handed me a set of Ultimate Ears earphones but can't remember exactly when they were purchased (sometime in '08) and has no proof of purchase. One ear peice has become detached leaving some wires exposed. I have no paperwork at all so I'm even unsure as to which particular model they are, I just know they cost around £150. I've been asked to get a quote for their repair but at the moment I'm finding it hard to find anyone able to repair them. Any suggestions?
